Yes it's been a long damn time
Ain't been around 'cause' I work for my money!
I'd love to stay but I'm really runnin' short on time
And I hear you've got a new man
He's like a new-age hippie
And he's rollin' in the money
No...I don't really hold a grudge
It's just hard for me...

I feel like you already died...
I feel like you already died...
I feel like you already died!...
I know it works out bad sometimes
I'm glad we're friends
'Cause' we're hateful as lovers
I walk away knowing everything I said was lies!
My heart and my mind have been all twisted...
I can't get no sleep...
I found the lighting in the grass line!...
There's a blackness passing over me
I've been transformed...

My Opinion:Does this song remind anyone of Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit? I think it's the guitar during the intro and during the chorus that make me think of it that way. Very spooky sounding song and I love it.

General Comment:one of the lyrics is wrong. It's not "I found the lightning in the grass line" it's "I found the lightening in the glass line"

General Comment:This reminds me of a couple of friends of mine, girls who've gone out with douchebag guys and continue to, and it continues to blow up in their faces constantly but they tolerate it for some reason and i feel like i don't really know them anymore and i wonder what the fuck is going through their head.

And I hear you've got a new man
    He's like a new-age hippie

    No...I don't really hold a grudge

I feel like you've already died...

Shiny has it right from the perspective of the writer but that's what this reminds me of.

General Comment:This is obviously about having a rough relationship with someone you do love, but can't stand to be with, and can't be without. "I feel like you've already died" refers to the loss he feels. The second line sounds like a sarcastic jibe, implying whoever he is adressing the song to doesn't earn their money.
