Lyrics for Anytime as interpreted by LetMenBurnStars

Anytime Lyrics
Is this "climbing up to the moon?"
Or is it bailing out too soon?
I hope we didn't,
I hope we didn't wait too long.
I hope we didn't,
I hope we didn't wait too long.

Alll that I wanted to say - words only got in the way.
but then I found another way to communicate.

Is this "climbing up to the moon?"
or is it fadin' out too soon?
I know we didn't,
I know we didn't wait too long,
cause anytime's a good time to move on.

Things I could say to myself,
I could never say to anyone else.
But what Madonna said really helped,
She said, "Boy, you better learn to express yourself!"

I know we didn't,
I know we didn't wait too long,
cause anytime's a good time to move on.

This is one of my favorite songs on Z, so I had to put it up. The other site I got it from had every word start with a capitol letter, which was really annoying.

he just about sings himself to death here.

It's pretty clearly about ending a relationship and moving on. Unless anyone has any more insightful things to say.

What's great about this song is; it sure is up-beat for a break up song.

And spot on when it comes to: 'Anytime's a good time to move on'

This is an amazing song. I especially love how it begins. This is the song that introduced me to MMJ when i heard it on a college radio station, they always play the best music dont they?

I also like how the first phrase:

Is this "climbing up to the moon?"
Or is it bailing out too soon?

can be applied to nearly anything, everyone can relate & thats what musics for

I get the same impression that this song is about two people moving on in a relationship. However, I'm slightly miffed because I think that the tone of this song, to me, is the way love should sound. Great--no, fantastic song, though.

I think this song is about Jim before he was famous... and it was his dream to cimb to the moon musically, at the same time he feard it might be to late. also i feel in the song he drops the idea of his time and thinks about what madonna says, " all i have to do is express mself.'' and we are glad jim james did because his shit is fire.

I believe that this song deals with a man's trouble to express to a girl that he likes her and the anxiety he feels because he isn't sure if he is trying to hard, too little, or hesitating and letting too much time go by.

It starts out with two questions; (is this trying too much or not enough?)
The questions represent the self-doubt that a man may feel when trying to decide the right course of action in such delicate matters.

The man portrayed in the song does alot of thinking and romanticizing 'behind the scenes' so to speak, and has difficulty bringing his feelings and thoughts constructivly into reality,
thus, the need to learn to express himself.

but ultimately, despite all of his contemplative efforts ... he learns that anytime is a good time to move on... that means that he learns not to hold back, and also that everything is a learning experience so... even if he made mistakes in the past ... he was atleast aware of his ignorance and has grown from it.
