You say: Make me into something
Give me a body
And you say: Let me out the bottle
Make me into someone
You can give me life
And I'll trade
The potion you embody with
Trips down the well and a swing from a necktie remedy, necktie remedy.

You can give me life...

Let me in, Let me in
You'll raise your drinks up hight
You'll raise your drinks up high

You say: "The sugarcube mixture saves the day."
You say: "The green cloudy waters will take you away."
But when dawn floods in
With the day
The journey I imagined brought
Me right back here to a swing from a necktie remedie, necktie remedie

You can give me life...

Let me in, it's cold in this abyss
Let me in cause it's cold
You'll raise your drinks up high and swallow to forget
You'll raise your drinks up high
We'll swallow to forget

Let me in.

You'll be vacant
Repossessed
For those moments
(That you) occupy me.

Now let's make me something in and of myself
And become the cataclysmic reality
So far beyond the symptom, I, limitless when you empower me
Because habit takes root in decision
And you can bet that I can wait
If you can
For the moment when you need a little pick me up
A little bump
A little boost
A little helping hand.

Let me in, it's cold in this abyss
Let me in cause it's cold
You'll raise your drinks up high and swallow to forget
You'll raise your drinks up high
And swallow to forget

You'll raise your drinks up high

Song Meaning:This is speaking to the desire every human has, to be something more, something complete, to succeed in life. It also speaks to the bands experience with the satanic practices that are a necessity in order to succeed in the entertainment or political world.

A necktie is a symbol of a phallus, just like our obelisk national monument or church steeples. The satanic practices that celebrities, bands and politicians partake in, in exchange for success, are described in the lyrics. Demonic possession, embodiment, empowerment, a helping hand, altered reality, drinking of blood. A pledge to satan and the system means a helping hand in success. It's the truth. It's how you get a big break. Don't believe that busting your but everyday, serving the man, will get you any where. That's the deception of the system.

A phallus is the symbol of the devils system. a necktie represents this and is worn by business men who, by knowing it or not, are partaking in the system satan has set up to to maintain slavery of the human mind, and benefit those at the top who pledge to him. Absinthe is not just alcohol, it is used in other ways. I'm not necessarily saying Project 86 has answered to satan but they are definetly giving a glimpse of what goes on in their industry.

General Comment:SnareRushJunkie is 100% right it has to be about absinthe it is a green alcohol that before drinking one dissolves a sugar cube into. And the European version is a hallucinogen.

General Comment:I think this song is about what addictions and substance abuse but i think that the part about the necktie is about kinda about suicide. Cause when your using drugs your are killing yourself. Mabey im wrong but i think thats right. Cause metaphorically which is how this song is written a necktie is a noose.(back when there was capital punishemrnt people called hangings necktie parties)

General Comment:You say: Make me into something
    Give me a body

[Asking for a meaning, an existence]

And you say: Let me out the bottle
    Make me into someone

[A bottle of liquor is the answer this person choses to give their life meaning and existence, or at least dim the lack of it]

You can give me life [Or semblance of life]
    And I'll trade
The potion you embody [the potion it embodies is indeed life, or a healing elixer, something helpful] with
Trips down the well [going the opposite direction of what is wanted] and a swing from a necktie remedy, necktie remedy.

[I see this in two ways. the first being the most plausable: That alcohol is the remedy for the necktie, or an escape from everyday life, and since the song is about escapism, this is likely. The second way is I visualize someone patching up something using a necktie, obviously the wrong choice of tool but effective none the less.]

    You can give me life...

Let me in, Let me in
You'll raise your drinks up high
You'll raise your drinks up high

    [Like a toast]

You say: "The sugarcube mixture saves the day."
You say: "The green cloudy waters will take you away."

[As snarerushjunkie mentioned, this is indeed referring to Absinth, a popular drink for artists as the herbs and wormwood it is formed out of enhance one's artistic ablity, used by Vincent Van Gohe regularly]

    But when dawn floods in
    With the day

[Coming out of the inebriated state, not a "high" per say, more of an imagined high]

The journey I imagined [Illusion of progress] brought
Me right back here to a swing from a necktie remedie, necktie remedie [escapism again, even the excuse of "art" doesn't conceal escapism, call a spade a spade]

    You can give me life...

Let me in, it's cold in this abyss
Let me in cause it's cold
You'll raise your drinks up high and swallow to forget
You'll raise your drinks up high
    We'll swallow to forget

    Let me in.

[Pretty self explanatory in the context of alcohol, for anyone who's indulged, it's nice.]

    You'll be vacant
    Repossessed
    For those moments
    (That you) occupy me.

Now let's make me something in and of myself
    And become the cataclysmic reality
So far beyond the symptom, I, limitless when you empower me
Because habit takes root in decision
And you can bet that I can wait
    If you can
For the moment when you need a little pick me up
    A little bump
    A little boost
    A little helping hand.

[This is inebriation talking, it's enticing.]

Let me in, it's cold in this abyss
Let me in cause it's cold
You'll raise your drinks up high and swallow to forget
You'll raise your drinks up high
    And swallow to forget

You'll raise your drinks up high

General Comment:The second verse may be talking specifically about absinthe, a green liquor that, when mixed with water, turns cloudy. After being mixed with water, a sugarcube is dissolved in the mixture in order to remove some of the bitterness. Absinthe was also said to have hallucinogenic effects, which may be what "the journey I imagined" is referencing.

General Comment:This song is definitely about Alcoholism and how it is such an unwise decision to try to escape life by drinking.

You say: "The sugarcube mixture saves the day."
You say: "The green cloudy waters will take you away."
    But when dawn floods in
    With the day
    The journey I imagined brought
Me right back here to a swing from a necktie remedie, necktie remedie

i mean honestly, it's getting drunk, they raise their drinks high. it's an escape from life, work " the necktie" but not only work, responsibility, instead of facing problems people are avoiding them by drinking. "when the dawn floods in" i mean it's getting hammered, waking up, not know whats going on, except that knowing they avoided another night of thinking by making that night immemorable.

The well is a deep pit you get yourself into each time you drink, how you put yourself there, hide there, escape, i'm pretty sure, i dont see how it could be interpreted otherwise.

    I love Project 86

General Comment:i think this song is totally talking about suicide
"necktie remedy" being a noose, and it talks about trips down the well and swinging from the necktie remedy

and the "sugarcube mixture that saves the day" would be poison
but it could also totally be about drugs or alcohol i agree

    thats what im gettin anyway
