And I’ll wait here a while
Just long enough to be sure
That you didn’t make a wrong turn
And I’ll wait long enough
Maybe an hour or two
Before I decide it wasn’t me, it was you
It wasn’t me it was you

And I would like you to know
Although it seems sad to say
This was only the worst hour of my day
The worst hour of my day

How long has it been on your mind
Do you think about it when we laugh
I think that it’s a big mistake
Because I think that we could make it last
Even if it’s just for a while

And I’ll wait here for now
Just long enough to be sure
That you really want to go through with this
Because I don’t really want to go through with this
Do you really want to go through with this

General Comment:I think Jonstafa is closest. The meaning is pretty literal here: he's waiting for her, she hasn't shown up and he's hoping that's simply because she's taken a "wrong turn", and not because she's decided it's over.

Which he knows in his heart it is, although he thinks "we could make it last, even if it'S just for a while", he knows he's just delaying the inevitable.

General Comment:I think when he says that he'll wait a while, it's more literal than most of the interpretations of read. Can you imagine waiting by the door for your girlfriend to come home, convincing yourself that the reason they're not there is because they took a "wrong turn" and will just be late?

That makes it that much more sad to me :(

General Comment:This song was playing the day after my bf and I broke up and it crushed my soul. It's really powerful when you're in that place. We got back together shortly after :P

General Comment:It's about a man who's woman has left him and he wants her back. I always imagine he's asked her to meet him somewhere and, although he doesn't think she's going to show, he's waiting for her. As it gets later and later he's making excuses for her, like that she's taken a wrong turn, so he doesn't have to face the fact that she's left him.

it's a very sad song but i love it.

General Comment:This song is the perfect break up song.

I think its about a relationship thats coming to an end and the girl has decided she wants to break up and he wonders if she has been thinking about it for awhile hint the do you think about it when we laugh.

When he says that he will wait for awhile its kinda like he is going to move on that fast just to make sure that she didn't make a wrong turn (or decision)

The worst hour of his day was when she decided to tell him its over and he doesnt really want to beak up eventhough she does; he doesnt want to go through with her decision.
He thinks she is making a big mistake by doing this and that they can work it out and last longer.
This is what i get from the song atleast
    Sweet sad song.

General Comment:I'm so annoying! Everyone thinks he is saying "do you think about it when we lie" he really says "laugh", not "lie". That changes things...I think.
I pasted the lyrics from his "official site" below...

    Wrong Turn

And I’ll wait here a while
Just long enough to be sure
That you didn’t make a wrong turn
    And I’ll wait long enough
    Maybe an hour or two
Before I decide it wasn’t me, it was you
It wasn’t me it was you

And I would like you to know
Although it seems sad to say
This was only the worst hour of my day
The worst hour of my day

How long has it been on your mind
Do you think about it when we laugh
    I think that it’s a big mistake
Because I think that we could make it last
Even if it’s just for a while

And I’ll wait here for now
Just long enough to be sure
That you really want to go through with this
Because I don’t really want to go through with this
Do you really want to go through with this

General Comment:I take that back Blueflower. You are correct. I just listened again and realized that if I told someone that they gave me the worst hour of my year or life, that would be pretty Substantial v. a day. I stand corrected by my own doing!

General Comment:wow. I'm late. I just heard this song(and discovered this site today) and fell immediately in love or dispare. I love the interpretations. Have a problem with Blueflower's - the worst hour of a 24 hour day is much more impacting than the worst hour of a year (which is a mere fraction of a fraction of a fraction or better - a lifetime! I'm sure we know what you meant though.
