Felt too much, did she feel a thing?
Long, dark hair, never saw her cry
In two halves I was torn
My maybe love who wouldn't even try
She loves me, she loves me not (2x)
I saw you only yesterday
We shared a smile, then went our separate ways
Perhaps one day? never mind
All the nights we shared, were we just killing time?
She loves me, she loves me not (2x)
For all the things I said to her and all the ways I tried
And all the things I did for her, they're lost with one goodbye
She loves me, she love me not
She loves me, she loves me not (2x)
For all the things I said to her and all the ways I tried
And all the things I did for her were lost with one goodbye
She loves me, she love me not
She loves me, she loves me not
Long, dark hair, never saw her cry
In two halves I was torn
My maybe love who wouldn't even try
She loves me, she loves me not (2x)
I saw you only yesterday
We shared a smile, then went our separate ways
Perhaps one day? never mind
All the nights we shared, were we just killing time?
She loves me, she loves me not (2x)
For all the things I said to her and all the ways I tried
And all the things I did for her, they're lost with one goodbye
She loves me, she love me not
She loves me, she loves me not (2x)
For all the things I said to her and all the ways I tried
And all the things I did for her were lost with one goodbye
She loves me, she love me not
She loves me, she loves me not

I think this song is about the singer looking back on a relationship that has just ended...Obviously it's still raw for him, He's in the 'insecure' stage of the breakup.
The part where you ask yourself was it real Did you mean as much to that person as they did to you? It's the place where you question everything Did they love me?, Did i give more?, Did i come on too strong?, etc etc.
He's grieving the end of it, and i agree with the above poster, He's very David Bowie-esque in his voice here.
