Lyrics for About a Girl (Box Set version) as interpreted by jakemeans

About a Girl (Box Set version) Lyrics
Ohhh
I do
Don't pin a note to me
I do promise to agree
I do live in constant fear
I do wonder why I'm here

And if you say I'm right
You'll hang me out to dry
But I can't see you every night
Free
I do

Don't wash my face again
I do away from all my friends
I do have a breath in you
I do can't see if we move

And if you say I'm right
I'll hang you out to dry
But I can't see you every night
Free
I do

i loved this song on teh box set, but tried to avoid it somtimes while i was listening to teh album, just because the sound of kurts voice just dragged me down and it seemed to me taht he was in pain while recording it. its a very mornful song and avoiding it was a good idea, just cause any time i hear it it makes me feel down.

I dont think kurt was in pain when he was singing this, he was just trying to be forceful and meaningful

It's a great song. I love this version because of the rough sound. I get a damn headache when i try to understand Kurt's lyrics, so, i try not to. Maybe the lyrics mean something, but marred beacause of his drug use?
Over all, it doesn't matter. Guitar sounds great.

man this sounds so sludgy. the bleach version was a bit of a pop song but this version is well sludgy like the rest of bleach. not sludgecore sludgy just murky, slower and much fuzzier

I just love the angst in his voice, and also notice that unlike most material he recorded pre-Bleach, his voice sounds like what it was on Bleach. "I do live in constant fear" -> I thought this represented his general fear of his relationship ending with Tracy but it might be the fear of being cheated as she goes out (I'm feeling bad, but you say I'm right so you don't have to admit to yourself you're abandoning me in these hard times so you can just go out, I can't see you every night free). Anyways, Kurt was so awesome!

Both version of the song are increadible but i really like this version alot and u can easily tell that this songs about tracy and it makes sens when he says i do live in constant fear meaning that hes scared they are going to break up or something because im pretty shure they had a rocky relationship
