awesome song.amazing can hear a much more smiths/morrissey influence in these demos than the previous songs i think.which is really cool.anyone got the lyrics for the other songs?dying to know the lyrcis to track 5 because it's one of their best sogn ever already i think.

Definately no 'heel' in there are all.
I could see how it could be shore, but I still hear shoal.
Hellishhhhshoal is how it is sung.

i can hear shoal, but i still think it sounds like the word shore not finished all the way.

plus shoal means a large group of fish. no idea what he'd mean by that.

shoal — a sandbank or bar creating a shallow. anyone who has been a boat has seen signs warning of a shoal, it means stay away cause you'll run your boat up on it and will screw up the hull. its not shore or heel.

well i give shoal does make the most sense...ill change it to that, but NOT because thats what i think i hear...it still sounds like heel to me.

I also hear shore. Which I thought made sense as Jesse often uses the ocean/shoreline as a metaphor in his songs. I imagine the beacon to be like a lighthouse, guiding him around the shoreline. But it would also make sense to use shoal I suppose. I guess we'll never know, unless this song makes the final cut. I love it, so freaken catchy

Definitely the best of the demos. It sounds like shoal to me, but what's somebody's interpretation of this song? It seems like he's mourning somebody who died, and he's hoping that they're in heaven. I don't know, but I think (judging by the first verse) that person was a soldier. Of course, I've only heard the song once so far though. So I might be waaay off.

I do like this song, it's really different you know, and you can really see the Men Women & Children influence in this song and #2 cause they're a little funky.

Also thank God shoal won cause that's definately it.
Also not to be nit picky but I pretty sure it's "It's a little thing you gain posthumously" not "gave"
I ;however, like the way you got "uncompansated" correct because alot of people got that wrong and that def makes most sense

I know it's tempting to copy and paste the chorus but in the final chorus instead of:
"I hope that you're celebrating,
the people you miss"
it changes to
"We hope your life is decorated
as the day that you left"
thats def correct
