i first heard this song when i went to see the movie "the chumscrubber" almost half a year ago. the movie was good, but this song honestly stood out to me more than the film did. of course it took me months to (a) figure out who the song was by and then (b) get ahold of it (for some ridiculous reason, it's not on the soundtrack). anyway, it's amazing; i haven't bothered to listen to any of rooney's other stuff (from what i've been told, i don't even think i'd like it). but this song is just amazing. the end.

yeah, i know this song is awesome. ive heard some of rooney's other stuff and its ...well..not good.
and the chumscrubber is just an amazing movie. i love it. plus jamie bell is really cute..haha well yeah its weird that this song isnt on the soundtrack cause its the best song in the movie...

I love this song! With all my heart I swear. Unfortunetly it's not on the soundtrack because rooney never even released it. And ya know no one has the tabs! NO ONE. Oh well. It's a great song.

This is a very good song and I love the song's lyrics. I have no clue why Rooney did not released it but you can definitely get the song off of limewire. I also heard this song on the Chumscrubber. Jamie Bell I must say did a phenomenal performance in it. Im so glad I own it.

i listened to rooney before the chumscrubber came out and i had no idea who it was singing that song on the movie. its crazy how rare that song is. anyway, YouCanForgetMe..that song is incredibly simple to play on guitar, no offense to you or rooney..one day you will learn to hate tabs. your own ears will be way more accurate than some idiots poorly made tabs

This song means a lot to me. As you can tell from my username. I "understood" this song when I watched the move "the chymscrubber". I had the song on a cd before, but I just enjoyed it. Now I feel this music because I can relate with the message rooney sends out. Anyway, amazing song; rooney has other good songs you should check 'em out.

i agree with jtgober on the fact that i had listened to rooney lots of times before but i couldn't believe that this was by them

they didnt put it on the soundtrack just so guys like us would go crazy trying to find it. problem is the only version you can download from anywhere is the demo version. the version on Chumscrubber is a different recording

basically I'm going to say what 90% i not more of you have said. I first heard this when I saw The Chumscrubber, and I loved it. I've tried for a year now to figure out who it was because for what ever reason, it isn't on the soundtrack which is a total shame. BUT...the song is amazing, and it was deinfitely put in at the perfect times in that movie. Intense.

This track is so great, I can't seem to play it loud enough! It's also much darker than most Rooney stuff. I search the imdb postings to find out who did the song after watching the chumscrubber and was lucky to find that the band had offered it as a free download at their website for a while but then pulled it. You can find it now on the itunes version of the Calling The World album though you have to buy the whole album. It was worth ten bucks to me and I've never regretted buying it! The words make me think of times when I wanted to return to dream that I was awoken from but couldn't fall back asleep to find it again because I was just on the edge of understanding the dreams meaning, so frustrating...

i think this song is like the Smiths Asleep. it's got the same morbid feel to it (forgetting the fact that wasisfacce hung himself to this song in the movie, but then again it has to have been chosen for the song for that part for a reason)

it sounds like wanting to escape but being unable to. whatever the 'escape' takes form in is another matter

To me it seems like he's trying to say that sometimes he can't really see the end to everything, maybe the pain and fustration he's feeling towards something, and he's trying to escape by "dreaming", which I personally view as being related to escapism, maybe drugs? Forgetting where the dream began could be him showing his fear towards really losing himself, to truely giving in and just forgetting everything that's real, that he won't be in control anymore.

The second verse makes me think that maybe people are trying to help him, "you kept your hand on my chest", they're there for him but he doesn't want them to be, he doesn't want them to help, he just wants to escape.

In a way I guess the final verse could be seen as slightly ironic, "Look at me dreaming, I'm so happy" contrasts very much so with the feel of the song which is very morose and detatched, almost in it's own way like a dream. Although it could also be viewed as a celebration of the release that he finally feels in his "dreams".

Oh and in relation to the Chumscrubber, which this song [rare as it is] was chosen for. Then you could say that it was chosen for the Link to Troys escape, as who's to say at the end of the song his sleeping isn't actually the sleep that is death?

Anywho this song and the Chumscrubber kick ass, and I really had to comment on this song, as not many people have! [For shame!]

this song is about suicide.. its more obvious when you hear in the chumscrubber. "look at me sleeping/really sleeping/look at me dreaming/im so happy" troy is finally happy.. he must believe that when he dies he will sleep forever and he can finally rest. its perfect really.. if ever kill myself this would be the song i would play.
