    General Comment:To me, this song is about a person who is so depressed that they sleep constantly. They don't want to sleep but they feel as though they have no choice, hence the line about 'hand on chest'. Sleeping pisses the person off, but is also one of their only escapes from their reality. He's trying to convince people that when he's sleeping, it's one of the only times he's happy.

    General Comment:this song is about suicide.. its more obvious when you hear in the chumscrubber. "look at me sleeping/really sleeping/look at me dreaming/im so happy" troy is finally happy.. he must believe that when he dies he will sleep forever and he can finally rest. its perfect really.. if ever kill myself this would be the song i would play.

    General Comment:To me it seems like he's trying to say that sometimes he can't really see the end to everything, maybe the pain and fustration he's feeling towards something, and he's trying to escape by "dreaming", which I personally view as being related to escapism, maybe drugs? Forgetting where the dream began could be him showing his fear towards really losing himself, to truely giving in and just forgetting everything that's real, that he won't be in control anymore.

    The second verse makes me think that maybe people are trying to help him, "you kept your hand on my chest", they're there for him but he doesn't want them to be, he doesn't want them to help, he just wants to escape.

    In a way I guess the final verse could be seen as slightly ironic, "Look at me dreaming, I'm so happy" contrasts very much so with the feel of the song which is very morose and detatched, almost in it's own way like a dream. Although it could also be viewed as a celebration of the release that he finally feels in his "dreams".

    Oh and in relation to the Chumscrubber, which this song [rare as it is] was chosen for. Then you could say that it was chosen for the Link to Troys escape, as who's to say at the end of the song his sleeping isn't actually the sleep that is death?

    Anywho this song and the Chumscrubber kick ass, and I really had to comment on this song, as not many people have! [For shame!]

    General Comment:i think this song is like the Smiths Asleep. it's got the same morbid feel to it (forgetting the fact that wasisfacce hung himself to this song in the movie, but then again it has to have been chosen for the song for that part for a reason)

    it sounds like wanting to escape but being unable to. whatever the 'escape' takes form in is another matter

    General Comment:This track is so great, I can't seem to play it loud enough! It's also much darker than most Rooney stuff. I search the imdb postings to find out who did the song after watching the chumscrubber and was lucky to find that the band had offered it as a free download at their website for a while but then pulled it. You can find it now on the itunes version of the Calling The World album though you have to buy the whole album. It was worth ten bucks to me and I've never regretted buying it! The words make me think of times when I wanted to return to dream that I was awoken from but couldn't fall back asleep to find it again because I was just on the edge of understanding the dreams meaning, so frustrating...

    General Comment:this song is fucking awesome. The chumscrubber is my favorite movie ever. Plus, this is the best song to listen to when you cant sleep at 4am lol
