ahh, i've listened to this song so many times and i STILL have questions/doubts about some of the lyrics. sorry this is so long! i wanted to be comprehensive without breaking it up into several separate comments. i DID use special spaces and formatting in an attempt to make it easier to read and follow, though! :)

well, here's what i hear:

THE LYRICS I HEAR FOR SPECIFIC LINES (numbered above):

[1] given lyric: "Mini, many times before" what i hear: "Many, many times before"

this line doesn't require much explanation. while it sounds like it could be "mini, many," it sounds like it could be "mini, mini" also for that matter. i think it's just the singer's accent that makes it sound that way, and "many, many" is much more likely the correct lyric.

[2] given lyric: "Eased and pleased, released from my shive" what i hear: "eased and pleased, released from my shoes"

i have no reason/explanation as to why, other than that's what i hear when i listen to it. i mean, "shoes" makes potential sense - if you're having a good trip, perhaps you're less aware of your body and more focused on your mental, spiritual, and experiential journey. "released from my shoes" could be symbolic of the release from the material world into a more transcendent, metaphysical state (tripping!).

[3] given lyric: "strange how LINES blur into one" what i hear: "strange how MINDS blur into one"

i'm not sold on my interpretation BUT i hear "minds" over "lines," and "minds blur into one" as opposed to "lines blur into one" makes more sense. well to me anyway, within the context of the rest of the song. but especially considering the next line:

[4] given lyric: "BLEND/BOND with me and have some fun" what i hear: "BEND with me and have some fun"

for the longest time i thought it was "bend." however, considering the obvious LSD/tripping theme of the song, "blend" is just as likely. i mean, when you're tripping you often feel like you're stepping outside the narrow perception we have of reality, space, and time (i.e. it's common when under the influence of a hallucinogen for a person to have an altered perception of time, one hour could feel more like 5, the next could pass in what feels like 5 minutes!) so your concept of reality and your experience of it essentially bends!

it just as likely could be blend, though. especially if the POV of the song is one friend saying to another "hey, let's drop acid together! it'll be a great time and we'll learn some shit!" and of course, hallucinogen substances have strong ego-suppression effects. the divisions between one's self and nature, other people/sentient beings, etc. become MUCH less defined. they can dissolve so much that one is able to recognize and directly experience/feel the connectivity between all things, especially between all living things. your self 'blends' with everything else.

and i definitely don't think it's "bond," that's kind of silly imo. you need an intact ego to bond to another person, this whole song is about expanding one's consciousness with the help of LSD - ego forfeiture.

[5] given lyric: "to blow our mind" what i hear: "DRUGS UNWIND to blow our minds"

whoever originally posted this song's lyrics left this line incomplete, probably just didn't know what the rest of the words were at the time they submitted it. but listening to this verse, i definitely hear "drugs unwind" and it makes sense.

[6] original lyric: "danger LURKS only in my head" what i hear: "danger LIVES/LIES only in my head"

i don't hear "urk," it almost sounds like "loves," which of course isn't correct. but considering her possible accent, it's just as likely to be "lurks" as "lies" or "lives." i think the correct lyric is lives, though. danger (and therefore, fear) is a completely subjective, individual phenomena - it only exists (lives!) if YOU allow it to. that's why i think it's "danger lives only in my head." if one chooses not to be afraid of something, that fear/danger ceases to exist at all (if fear is mental, then it only exists/lives in one's mind!).

[7] given lyric: "lizards try to tell us which one" what i hear: "lizards try to tell us which one"

well, i've just listened to this line about 5x in a row and i definitely hear "lizards." another commenter suggested "they just try to tell us which one" as an alternative, but i just don't hear hear that.

[8] given lyric: "trouble comes in many forms" what i hear: "travel comes in many forms"

i know this line isn't in question (at least among previous commenters here) but it's worth discussing because a) the way it's sung, "travel" is just as likely as "trouble," and b) "travel comes in many forms" would fit with the rest of the song AND the very next line of the song: "i'll show you mine if you show me yours." they're obviously not talking about body parts haha.

this entire verse is either "trouble comes in many forms, i'll show you mine if you show me yours" OR "travel comes in many forms, i'll show you mine if you show me yours." so, this could potentially be refering to a pair of LSD-trippers who are 'taking turns showing' each other their respective 'form' of either 'trouble' or 'travel.' essentially, "i'll show you something really cool, but be careful [i.e. trouble] 'cuz it could BLOW YA MIND!" haha. OR 'take turns showing' each other their 'form' of 'travel,' in which travel represents a novel, enlightening, or radical perspective on something.

sorry this is so long! haha. i've been listening to this song for 6 years now and i've developed some strong opinions regarding the song lyrics and meaning. i couldn't resist the compulsion to share :)
