I want to hear drums and my hearts a drum
I guess we never know what to become
Well I didn't know that this was such a problem
It's gonna get better when we solve them
I try to try to lose my head
But I wish, wish, wish that you were always there
And I try to try to lose my head
But I wish, wish, wish that I was dead
I'm on birthday cards and on a big trip
If this wouldn't happen then I'd bite my lip
But I didn't know that this was such a problem
It's gonna get better when we solve them
And I try to try to lose my head
But I wish, wish, wish that you were always there
And I try to try to lose my head
But I wish, wish, wish that I was dead
But I didn't know that this was such a problem
It's gonna get better when we solve them
And I try to try to lose my head
And I wish, wish, wish that you were always here
And I try to try to lose my head
And I wish, wish, wish that I was dead
Wish I was dead

"I didn't know that this was such a problem" - perhaps someone else has a problem with his ego, or he didn't realize that fame would go to his head.
"I try to lose my head" - get rid of ego.
"I'm on birthday cards and on a big trip" - He's everywhere, even birthday cards. The big trip is the ego trip from seeing his name and face all over.
The only real thing I don't understand is the reference to his heart being a drum. But, I think the song makes pretty good sense as a song about ego and fame.
I honestly only just starting listening to Shout Out Louds, and mostly the song - I have no idea who the singer is or if he has an ego, but the song makes sense to me this way.
I want to say that this is more about love, but the childhood theory is definitely interesting. Kudos for thinking outside of the box.
The O.C. mixes host a variety of obscure music. This particular one included Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" and Stars' "Your Ex-lover is Dead", personally, two of my favorite songs. It can't be all that unfortunate, eh?
but yes i love this song. i feel like it's about love, but no one except the artist can be for sure i guess. but i love it and it is deep and mellow and catchy!!
I've got both albums.

and obviously not our ill willls.
so idk, someone help me find it! or tell me where i can download if from!
