I see you walking home alone
Your face is alive and bright
But you can't see how weak you are
Cause I could end it tonight

It's the feeling you get when you think
That someone behind is watching you
Well I can tell you know that someone is me
And I'm about to make it right

Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor
Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor

I creep up from behind
Touch your neck, move down your spine
You take a look and breathe so sharp
Just a matter of time

Don't scream I ask of you
But then you let one out so know its time to go
I come down on you like a ton of bricks
All over so its time to go

Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor
Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor

Hit the floor

Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor
Why do you take it all, why do I beg for more
I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor

Take this from me, I don't wanna hurt you
Take this from me, I don't wanna hurt you

General Comment:ok, by the lyrics the evident front meaning of this song IS about him 'stalking' her. However, i believe that this song is a sort of double entendre.
I think the song is about a girl who left him and he is obsessed with her and loves her. She is happy but he is deluded into thinking she isn't and he wants to 'set her free.' Again coming back to the idea he is obsessed with her.

I see you walking home alone
Your face is alive and bright
This obviously means she is happy, maybe shes 'walking home' from her boyfriends house and he is watching her.

But you can't see how weak you are 'cause i could end it tonight.
She doesn't know hes there. He knows her life is in his hands. He has the opportunity to get revenge and hes toying with himself. Should he do it?

It's the feeling you get when you think that someone behind is watching you
Well i can tell you know that someone is me and i'm about to make it right.
She feels him. he know she thinks theres someone there so he must be quick. 'Make it right' meaning hes going to kill her because if he cant have her then no one should.

Why do you take it all?
why do i beg for more?
I never thought that this is how i'd hit the floor
He's angry. Shes taken everything from him but its like he wants her to keep doing it. He cant forget her he needs to be in her life. Obsession. He thought they would be together forever, he never thought that this is how his life with her would end up. "hit the floor'-- he's breaking down, deluded, angry.

I creep up from behind, touch your neck
    move down your spine
you take a look and breathe so sharp
    just a matter of time.

He wants her close. He's remembering their memories, what she means to him. I think this is an argument they had. Hes going to snap, maybe hes losing his temper after she tells him shes leaving him.

Don't scream i ask of you but then you let one out
so now its time to go
I come down on you like a ton of bricks
all over so it's time to go

She's making him angry, he snaps, he hits her? but instantly,he feels bad. Hes sorry for what he's done but shes screaming at him. Shes going to leave him. He's upset and he doesnt want to hurt her anymore.

Take this from me, I don't wanna hurt you
Take this from me, I DON'T WANNA HURT YOU!!!!

He cant do it.He wanted revenge but now he just wants her to be happy. Its time for him to let go. I think this part of the song comes back to the first verse. throughout the song hes thinking about how things could have planned out. He could have killer her. But then i think he realises that he doesn't really want to.
Shes taken away his world but he knows its his partially fault. He cant blame her. Shes happy now, just what he wanted. He's just upset that it wasn't with him.

Ok, so thats my interpretation of this song. Maybe im thinking too deep, i don't know. I could be totally wrong but hope it helps.

My Interpretation:Putting this song into context with the song right before it, which is about watching the person he loves who's with him but isn't quite returning the love (and he sees her flirt with other guys), I figured this song was the confrontation afterwards. He knows it's all his fault, since it's an abusive relationship, and he follows her home and he wants to "make it right", (ignoring the chorus for now), he creeps up behind her, and trying to be romantic touches her spine, moves down and realising she's freaking (either because she doesn't know who he is or exactly BECAUSE of that), she screams so he "comes down like a tonne of bricks" and just says EVERYTHING there and then. He feels like she's taking a huge part of him, but he can't help but beg for more of the one-sided relationship.

The ending just shows how unhinged he really is. She better accept him or he'll hurt her, the ending's a warning.

My Interpretation:i agree with busted rhythm.... this honestly seems like a confession song, not a rape song...
'i see you walking home alone, your face is alive and bright.... but you dont see how weak you are, cuz i could end it tonight'
this part is basically where hes watching her from the sidelines and god is she beautiful, but he knows shes going through hell and refuses to acknowledge it, and hes fair certain he can make it all right...
'its the feeling you get when someone behind is watching you... well i can tell you now that someone is me, and im about to make it right'
this part means hes plucking up the courage to make contact, and hes pumping himself up with the thought that he can make life a little better for her...
'i creep up from behind, touch your neck and move down your spine, you take a look and breathe so sharp, just a matter of time' is basically, where he makes his move to try to talk to her and he thinks hes on the right track... but then....
'dont scream i ask of you, but then you let one out so now its time to go... i come down on you like a ton of brick, all over so its time to go'
he tells her not to wig, but guess what she does? so he freaks and spills his guts or something to that effect, and as such feels he's ruined his chances...
'why do you take it all, why do i beg for more? i never thought that this is how i'd hit the floor'
basically, hes wondering why she takes all the shit she does, and why does he care so much? 'i never thought that this is how i'd hit the floor' basically means that he always figured he'd be floored, just never by her...
'take this from me, i dont wanna hurt you'
this part is basically his making amends from the first encounter in the second verse, where hes offering up his feelings, and just being honest, without coming across as creeper-ish

but then you let one out so no it's time to go
I come down on you like a tonne of brick

General Comment:I personally think this is about a guy who has lusted for this girl for years and deicides to take action,

"I see you walking home alone" this is saying that he knew her well enough to know where she lives or to know which way she walked home

"Your face is so alive and bright but you can't see how weak you are coz I could end this tonight" this is saying how she is blissfully unaware of what's about to happen

"It the feeling that you get when you think someones behind you watching you I can tell you know that someone is me and im about to make it right" is saying that she knows him (probley they used to go to school together) and he belives in destiny and he thinks she is ment to be with him

"Why do you take it all? Why do I beg for more?" is saying she refuses him and he begs for her

"I creep you behind you and touch your neck and move down your spine" is where he makes contact with her

"You look and breathe so sharp just a matter of time" she has turned around and saw him and gasps in shock

"Don't scream I ask of you but then you let one out so know its time to go" he pleads for her not to scream but she does and he pulls her into a nearby bush or into somewhere secret with no chance of being spotted

"It comes down on you like a tonne of bricks all over now its time to go" he raped her at gunpoint and he finshed with her

"Take it from me I don't wanna hurt you" is saying that he didn't want to go on with his life now that he did something so terrible

"I never thought that this is how I hit the floor" is saying she took the gun from him and shot him down and then killed herself,

Anyway that's just my natural thinking and what I get from the song

General Comment:O.K. this is definatley about rape you guys. There are a few key points that solidify the postition, such as when he says "Don't scream I ask of you but then you one so I know it's time to go, it comes out on you like a tonne of bricks" that's towards the end of it when he "finishes" with her. Then there's also the part where he says "Take it from me, I don't want to hurt you" signifying that, yes, he wants it and she doesn't, but also that they might have had a pre-exsisting relationship and doesn't want to hurt her.

General Comment:This song is not about rape, It's about murder, the band is Bullet For My Valentine, this song follows the trend of the rest of the album and continues to tell the story of a guy who lost a girl. Each song speaks of different phase of him dealing with it, this song is about him contemplating killing her:
"'cause I can end it tonight"
He wants to end his feelings of hate towards this girl for doing what she has been doing to him. It eventually ends with him killing her in The Poison :
"Now is your time to die"
"I never thought that this is how I'd hit the floor" is about him never thinking he'd be at such a low point. Nothing about literally hitting the floor
"I come down on you like a ton of bricks, all over so it's time to go" This is where he attacks her.
"Why do you take it all? Why do i beg for more?" Is about him questioning the bad way he was treated during the relationship and questioning why he begged for more...

Nothing about rape, if you look at the last line it could not be rape at all

My Interpretation:I think this song is about a guy who was in love with this girl and she either broke up with him or rejected him/ignored him. So, to "make it right" for hurting him, he stalked her then raped her.

I think the "hit the floor" means to hit rock bottom. To get so desperate for the attention from her, "beg for more", that he hurts her even though he really doesn't want to. :s
