Something happened to INSERT NAME that they feel that they could of prevented before it happened. And ever since that occurred that's all that's in their mind
Matt and his girlfriend were basically going to different colleges and wouldn't see eachother for years.
That's what matt felt like when that happened though. It isn't about a relationship. It's about the feeling someone has when they hate everything thats around them and they know that they dont have to deal with it. This song isn't confusing. It's straight up. Most of you probably live happy lives and dont understand. I come from a christian family. The rules are tight. I hate everything about it. To make matters worse my mom just had me break up with my girlfriend. On top of that I'm homeschooled I dont go to a public school and can't see my friends every day. The ones that I do see my mom has to approve of. It fucking sucks. This song speaks my feelings directly and completely. The speaker hates who he has to be with. The person he's speaking to doesn't get it. It's confusing and frustrating. This is exactly how I feel. I thought it would be easy to understand but I guess not. To sum things up - it's about someone who legitimately hates everything he's around, it drives him crazy, and he feels hopeless. Nobody understands him. Nobody tries. He's trying to hold it all together but things keep getting worse. That's my interpretation. I don't care if it's wrong. If it's about a relationship - then fuck it. I still say thats what it's about

I believe that this song is about the girl's worries and uneasiness towards this relationship, and her nightmarish dreams don't help her feelings any. The video is of her constantly waking up and repeating the same supposed nightmare time after time, and each time she tries to save her boyfriend from dying in a car accident, failing every time. Possibly could mean no matter how hard she tries she fears losing him to some sort of terrifying situation?
Just like any other good song, it can mean so many different things to different people... a piece worth listening to over and over.
