I saw bts a year and a half ago, opening for the pixies at seattle's bumbershoot festival, and for their soundcheck they just started jamming, and it turned into this song which totally blew me away. I'd always assumed it was some obscure cover since i couldn't find it anywhere, but turns out its because it was off their new cd!

BTS are incredible musicians with ears for odd time signatures and crafty guitar work / rhythms.

However, their lyrics have alway left something to be desired.

thats why built to spill is so great, their lyrics are so much more simple and unpretentious than the other indie rock bands..they don't try to be philosophical and it turns out great

I editted the lyrics, the one's i originally had up with:

Wow big song - fantastic - I thought they had split and was estatic to find this new album - just played it tonight - their songs usually take time but so far this is the one - powerfull - hope its not about God etc... - seems you can take it many ways - but "he was there - no HE was there"(hopefully E.T.) makes me think otherwise. Nevermind - great song. They still make great music even if they are Jesus freaks. Whatever.

Sorry repeated listens - maybe it was not jesus and was something else! "No He(ET) was there" phew - Thank God!!! Open to your mindset I guess - Just hope they are not Sceintologists - that would be even worse. Love the song no matter - can take you to both heaven and outterspace.
