Lyrics for Fully Alive as interpreted by Element SC 361

Fully Alive Lyrics
Telling Layla's story spoken
'Bout how all her bones are broken
Hammers fall on all the pieces
Two months in the cover creases

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive
Now she knows how to believe in futures

All my complaints shrink to nothing
I'm ashamed of all my somethings
She's glad for one day of comfort
Only because she has suffered

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive
Now she knows how to believe in futures

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive
Now she knows how to believe in futures

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive
Now she knows how to believe in futures

What I get out of it is a that a girl overcame hardships in her life, and is now living life better than most people. she appreciates her life. i can relate.

Oh i think the other version is better the one thats not on the cd
cause there she sings : Here she stands today, in her brilliant shiny way(not sure though)
Anywho
I think its about a girl and she's bin trough so much.

'Bout how all her bones are broken
Hammers fall on all the pieces

Shes really crushed!

All my complaints shrink to nothing
I'm ashamed of all my somethings

I think the writer is saying. My problems are nothing compared to her why am i complaning!?
I think the message of the song could be just take the best out life.
Cause now she is fully alive and ready to smile and love. So she got over her problems and take the best out of life now.

i think i need to know who Layla is before i make a good judgement on the song.

its amazing, though.
ive been thinknig that its like... yea ok i have my problems
but there are so many other people out there with much worse circumstances than me.
so when im complaining about something when theres always something worse... i'm ashamed.
and so ive realized that i have a better life
so im ready to live it
with a big bloody smile on my face :D

This song is about the wife of the lead singer to Trust Company. (Flyleaf toured with them at some point.) Layla, his wife, had a disease that kept her in bed for long periods of time, and when she was out of bed, she was so happy..just for that. She was so happy about something that we take for granted everyday.
-Lacey said something like that in an interview.

I think this is an amazingly inspirational song and I admire anyone who can be perfectly happy after suffering so much.

Fully Alive," which Flyleaf wrote in an hour — "It wasn't a toiling song," Seals said — is inspired by former Trust Company singer Kevin Palmer's wife, Layla, who is now in the band Amity Lane with Kevin.

"She was faced with something pretty adverse, and she still found strength to be happy and be uplifted and full of life in the face of that," Seals said, choosing not to elaborate. "It was just a really powerful thing. I guess, kind of through that, the statement of the song is just enjoy what you have. You know, don't take it for granted. And be thankful for just being alive."

that's from mtv

i think this song means to live life to the fullest. like layla is basicly dead but she still loves lives and she still happy and theres people who have everything arn't living life and there not happy to be alive.

well..the video, it's 'and she knows how to believe in futures'
the CD is the same thing..but the old version is just 'fully alive, more than most, ready to smile, and love life' 2x

the video..compared to the CD version..has a shorter instrumental part and she sings 'fully alive' softly during it. idk, they have 2452452354 versions..but they're good

According to singer Lacey Mosley on a Radiou.com interview, is about the wife of Kevin Palmer (lead vocalist of Trust Company).

Taken from wikipedia..I dont know the story behind it though.

Yeah, there's two versions to this song. The one without the prechorous is better, though. By the way, why is this their only good song? They have such sweet riffs and she has an awesome voice but their other songs absolutely bite.
