I thanked the God of In Flames that someone pointed out the true lyrics of the chorus

Look at the book people the posted lyrics are one hundred percent accurate.
As far as meaning I agree with most of it being a reflection of Anders' hardships in life albeit I believe the words express a
figure of power and authority either a cry of protest towards a controlling person or a declaration of Anders' sense of power achieved by overcoming his obstacles.

As for it's meanings, I've read most and liked Any Colony You Like; Clementine556 & Ivan the Jester's interpretations, but hey, thats the brilliance of In Flame's songs, there can be many meanings of any song they've composed.
Here's my take on it. =)

The blackhole, could be symbolic for all the negativity thats build up over the many years of his life, thus creating a destructive force that puts pressure and sucks/destroys the positivity from his life, right out of him. He's consumed within this darkness that embodies and defines his very own existence, however, his fear for his darkness where all his demons lie allows him to stay in touch with reality and to not consume himself in all this negative energy/memories/pain/suferring watever
"Fear" is what drives him to constantly trudge on like a soldier and fight against the many battles life throughs at him.

He's looking for meaning and simple messages that can help guide him through his confusion, maybe from God, a person or maybe his innerself.

I love this pre chorus, it's just so raw with emotion....no words can give justice to how i feel whenever I listen to this song lol . .anyway

I think he's seeing himself in the future or a goal or something he desperately wants to attain/achieve/chage in his life. Could be a person, his aim to find inner balance, or maybe salvaging in God and wanting God to be the answer to all his suffering, purpose in life etc.

To attain the future, he desires, he's willing to struggle through whatever difficulties or obstacles that ay be thrown at him along the way. The "crawl through knives" symbolising just how much he's willing to sacrifice and suffer to get what he wants.
"Red" symbolising how much blood he's willing to spill/shed/lose in the process (metaphorically) in order get to the bright side of his life.
Blood symbolises "vitality", "life", "red" symbolising the "anger" "hatred" even "love" . .he's willing to go through many emotions and willing to lose his life to this cause, he's deperately holding on to or fight for.

He wants the journey towards his goal to cause as many complications for him, he doesn't want to be spoonfed with all the answers and things he needs to do at the very palm of his hands. Because he wants to win this battle or achieve his goal by himself, to that he can learn, grow from this experience with wisdom and it won't be a hollow victory for him. He needs the shyt to inspire him or serve as a catalyst to his goal.

"The sky" symbolising his dreams/aspirations/goals and how he can see it clearly and thus it gives him a burning desire to achieve them.
He's acknowledging how every thought, action, feeling is all for him to decide in the end whether it should fail or succeed by his own hands. "hands" symbolising his choices being either "right" hand (right choices) or "left" hand (choices).

He's fighting to achieve what he beleives in and desires and finds himself in a diffuclt situation where he doesn't know what sense of direction he should take in order to achieve his dreams. During this process, the "emotions drifting, touch the new" is example of how these complications he may or may not overcome have allowed him to grow spiritually/mentallity/physically and trasnform his very essence for the better due to this experience.

...What does Anders mean by this? I've been struggling to figure this out for a long time now.
It seems like the answer could be simple, but I have reason to believe it's hidden.. Somewhat cryptic lyric anyway.
One of my thoughts is: let the colour (the crimson red colour of blood; his pain) persuade the hate that you (the significant other) fear (persuade a fear thought of hatred or lack of concern away-- one that makes the significant other think that Anders doesnt care about them)
Am I on track here? What are other people's opinions? I don't care if they're wrong or right, but i'm hoping there's more than what I'm seeing.
