You never looked so good
As you did last night
Underneath the city lights
There, walking with your friend
Laughing at the moon
I swear you looked right through me

But I'm still living with your goodbye
And you're just going on with your life

How can you just walk on by
Without one tear in your eye?
Don't you have the slightest feelings left for me?
Maybe that's just your way
Of dealing with the pain
Forgetting everything between our rise and fall
Like we never loved at all

You, I hear you're doing fine
Seems like you're doing well
As far as I can tell
Time is leaving us behind
Another week has passed
And still I haven't laughed yet

So tell me
What your secret is
(I wanna know, I wanna know, I wanna know)
To letting go, letting go like you did
Like you did

How can you just walk on by
Without one tear in your eye
Don't you have the slightest feelings left for me?
Maybe that's just your way
Of dealing with the pain
Forgetting everything between our rise and fall
Like we never loved at all

Did you forget the magic?
(Oooh)
Did you forget the passion?
(Ohh-ho)
And did you ever miss me?
Ever long to kiss me?
(Ooh, whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa baby, baby)

Maybe that's just your way of dealing with the pain
Forgetting everything between our rise and fall
Like we never loved
At all
(At all)

General Comment:This song I can totally relate to right now. I met my girlfriend back in May and we dated all through June and life was going great, then it was like July rolled around and she did not want to carry on anymore. As the last few months have progressed, she acts like nothing ever happened between us. It totally sucks because I gave it all I got and got shafted in the end. This song reflects everything i'm going through word for word.

General Comment:I can relate to the song perfectly.

The song is so beautiful... I love the song, but I love/hate how much I can relate to it.

    I miss him...

General Comment:This is really one of my favorite songs of Faith Hill. It is the saddest feeling that many of us girls get attached and take a little longer to get over the guy. I wished he just like me.

General Comment:I can definately relate to this song.
My boyfriend of two years and I just broke up, and its honestly one of the most painful times of my life.
I put everything that I had into that relationship and I believed that all of that effort would be worth it in the end...but all I really got was a broken heart, a telephone call, and empty nights.

And the worst part of it all is that I know that even now as I am sitting here writing and thinking about him, he's let go and moved on.
I wish that I knew what his secret was...

General Comment:I seriosuly relate to this song. I dated a coworker (bad idea...) and everything that happened, it made me fall hard. I tihnk this song is talking about how the girl is still loving this guy, and the guy is acting like the break up doesn't affect hima t all. After we broke up, my co worker seriosuly acted like i wasn't even there, and has seemling forgotten evrything that has happened...

"How can you just walk on by
Without one tear in your eye?
Don't you have the slightest feelings left for me?" O seriosuly always wonder this..

General Comment:This song definitely hits home for me as well and I think that it is going to for anyone who has been in a relationship that didnt work. Just recently a guy that I was "talking" to decided that he had a lot going on and that he just wanted to be friends and I honestly can't believe how devistated I am. Usually I just take everything in stride, count it as the other persons loss and move on. However this time I feel like I can't.

"another week has passed and still I haven't laughed yet. So tell me what your secret is, of letting go, letting go like you did..."

There isn't an hour that goes by that I don't think of him. Just the other night my roommate inquired as to when that last time was that I was actually happy and I couldn't answer her. I wish I knew his "secret" to letting go so that I can do the same.
