    My Interpretation:I'm writing an interpretive essay on the Demon Days album and thought I'd share a bit of my reflections on some of the songs.
    This is like a depressive view on the real world, before they "enter the harmonic world". It's sirens in the background, an annoying voice displeased with being "put on the fresh end of the food chain", because today everybody's whining about everything. Everyone wants to get the best of everything and be first and are annoyed when anything is unfair to them, and when they aren't favorized. Then we enter the harmonic world and the album/journey begins.
    That's pretty much what I got out of this.

    General Comment:My friends and I have always thought the little voice at the beginning is saying "Don't use cocaine" over and over. I've listened to this like 20 times now and I still cant see where its saying "Who put chemicals in the food chain".

    it just gives an intro into the themes. (the theme is isolation and how the world is going downhill)

    General Comment:This is a very creepy intoduction to Demon Days. If you've ever played Banjo Kazooie, it sounds like Bubblegloop Swamp to me. It has a sad strange Cello too. It's awesome though.
