Bands like wolfmother tell me that modern music stull has some hope.
and this song is absolutely beautiful...makes me want to cry.
songs like this [songs about love] make me happy. "love" in this modern age are dominated by stupid "emo" bands screaming about being depressed because of some girl. they are dumbing the experience down so much...real music comes dirrectly from emotion, it takes REAL musicians like these guys to turn it so beautifully into music..
im not sure if my lil rant back there made much sense, so im sorry if i didnt...
that one line, "transfixed upon the why" just blew me away. i got stuck in one of those "thought loops" when i was tripping, and i got stuck on the question "why?" i eventually just came to the realization of "because", but that's kinda beside the point.
anyway.
also. supposedly, psilocybin, the main chemical in shrooms, is supposed to open the 6th chakra, the "third eye" or "mind's eye"
i'm sure this song has a different personal meaning for everybody, like most songs i guess, but to me this song is an amazing reminder of a beautiful, spiritual, eye-opening experience.

kinda sounds like a relationship based on sex - moral: it cant save a relationship. maybe he has already found something more but he goes to these measures 2 keep the antagonizing relationship - burns a fire for a lost desire - an illegitimate relationship bcos he doesnt luv tha person he's with, however - he can "see it burning higher" hmmm
