Lyrics for Superconnected as interpreted by fishnet

Superconnected Lyrics
Does it come in cages?
Does it come in threes?
Shipping on our time
Shipping on our seas

Never the carpet
Never the key
Art can fail you
Not for me to believe

And I won’t be leavin’
And everyone can see
There’s a dirty cheque stub
I know, I know they’re free

And from all the fuck ups
Lies to it’s knees
Their heels are burning
So eat a piece or three

But I don’t really want to think about those things anymore
No I really don’t want to think about those things
I really don’t want to think about those things anymore
I die when I think about those things

Was it central mavens?
Was it making me itch?
The kitchen’s, the kitchen’s comes
The future, the future creams

And I’ll be sailing
But missing the cheese
Time this hour
So far we’re free

And we’re all connected
As anyone can see
Get it all connected
Know what I mean

And they love the doctors
For their shabby knees
I was struck from the outside
Looking for my fleas

But I don’t really want to think about those things anymore
I really don’t want to think about those things
I really don’t want to think about those things anymore
I die when I think about those things

I really don’t want to think about those things anymore
I really don’t want to think about those things
I really don’t want to think about those things anymore
I die when I think about those things

Is it super connected?
It’s time to leave

Is it super connected?
It’s time to leave

Super connected

these lyrics are a bit off. here's a slightly closer transcription:

Does it come in cages
Does it come in threes
Trippin all over town
Trippin like I’m seized
Never the Car ride
Never the key
I’ve always been failing
Minding my me
And they wanna believe it
And they wanna conceive
There’s a difference in texture
I know it about me

And they wanna love this
Right between the knees
Get a little bit bloody
What does that have to do with me

(the “those things” part)

Was I searchin for maybe’s
Was I makin believe
Get you a preacher’s car
Get you a preacher’s creed
I’ve never been sailing
Never messed with the sea
How typical is that
It’s there for you and me
And they wanna connect it
And they wanna conceive
Get it all connected
With you and you and me

Now I’ve no forgiveness
Oops, what’s happened to me
I was talking about something
I can’t believe

(Those thing)

I really shoulda thought those things a little more
And I didn’t think about those things

Is it superconnected
Time to leave

I'm positive it's "And you wanna fuck us right between the knees". They sometimes say "love" in other versions though (ie: the kcrw sessions). I actually have rather different lyrics to this song, but I'm not positive they're all that accurate. Only bss knows, and they won't tell us. lol.

"This next song is about divorce. Watch out kids, it happens." Kevin Drew's intro to this song when played live at The Corner 28th Feb 2006 Melbourne, Australia. This certainly makes more sense when applied to BoxOfEpilepsy's lyrics, which I also hear.

An amazing song. Even more awe inspiring when you think about being superconnected with something that is falling apart/leaving.

From the BSS Official Site:

does it come in cages,
does it come in threes
i'm tripping on all my time
i'm tripping like i am seized.
never the car ride
and never the key
always been failing
minding my means
and they wanna believe it
and they wanna conceive
theirs a difference in texture
i know that about me
and they want fuck this
right between the knees
get a little bit bloody
what is that have to do with me
but i really don't want to think about those things anymore
really don't want to think about those things.
i really don't want to think about those things anymore
i die when i think about those things......
was it sectional babies,
was it making believe
they get you like creatures cocks
they get you like creature creed.
i've never been sailing
not unless it's the sea
a typical lazy eye
a stare off for you and me
and they want to connect it
and they wanna concieve
get it all connected
with you and you and me
and i love the body/darkness/forgiveness
whoops what's happen to me
i was talking about something
i can't believe
i really don't want to think about those things anymore
i die when i think about those things
if your superconnected...................... time to leave

this is an amazing song.

it kind of gives me a wash of "feeling better." i have no idea what it means though. it could possibly be about how once things are "superconnected" you no longer wanna think about those things anymore. you just let them be.

what makes this song so great is how the vocals fight to be heard above the clamor. so rousing.

I was listening to this on the train the other day... on of my favorite tracks you just can't help get a little short of breath. I seriously just wanted to jump on the guy across from me... didn't care who watched.

SO MUCH energy it's contagious!

here's what happened last night:

he asked the audience how many had been in love. he said, raise your hands if you've been in love once. then he said, raise your hands if you've been in love more than once. raise your hands if you've been in love more than twice. raise your hands if you've been in love more than three times. raise your hands if you've never been in love.

then he said, this is a love song. we can help you if you've never been in love.
