Lyrics for Fire Eye'd Boy as interpreted by ApplesInMono

Fire Eye'd Boy Lyrics
Until the day you die, you'll always admit
That you were right, you were right
About all those things

Fire eyed boy, give em all the slip
Fire eyed boy, give em all the slip
If you gonna come, you better make it quick
Fire eyed boy, give em all the slip

Until the day I die, Columbia I blame
Let us burn, back to life
To do it all again

Fire eyed boy, give em all the slip
Fire eyed boy, give em all the slip
If you gonna come, you better make it quick
Fire eyed boy, gets his ass whipped

Fire eyed boy, give em all the slip
Fire eyed boy, give em all the slip
If you gonna come, you better make it quick
Fire eyed boy give em all the slip

Fire eyed boy, give em all the slip
Fire eyed boy, give em all the slip
If you gonna come, you better make it quick
Fire eyed boy, gets his ass whipped

I think it's "you always had lived" instead of "you always had left"...

Hmmmm...

Don't know where these lyrics came from.
Applesinmono seems to have some writing skills of his own, "until the day I die, I'll roam the earth by plane" is almost better than the real lyrics.

But here are the ones on the album...

He's fired up and determined, but he keeps getting pushed down. We're all cheering for him to finally give em all the slip. What does Columbia I blame mean? This song is awesome.

I have been hooked on this song for months. I need to find a new favorite soon, or I will possibly become a permanent BSS fanboy.

The music video of this song was hilarious, but it changed my perception of what the song was about.

shut up you cum guzzling slut. If you knew anything about the english language you would know that "his" and "he" can be gender neutral when there is no clear/defined gender. You PC idiots make me sick....

AS FOR "Columbia I Blame" im gonna just throw this out there and say maybe he is talking about the good Ole B.C. aka British Columbia aka where he lives.

i think the lyrics are "ill roam the earth by plane" despite what the album book says. Ive seen many variances in lyrics from what they really are and what it says in the book. If you watch the video, when they sing that line, if you read his lips you can see he is obviously saying "ill roam the earth by plane". Even if you dont watch the video, just listen very closely, youll notice its not "columbia i blame."

Also, in the part of the video where they are reading their letters home, one of them says something like "the clouds have cleared and im flying high", quite possibly in a plane, which, by the way, makes two appearances in the video (a plane does)

Ok first post so bear with me...
I reckon this song is about hitler. He was bullied as a child and then took it out on the world, which no one expected him to do; he "gave them all the slip". And he was definitely a fire eye'd boy, he was always full of spite and malice.
He never admitted that he was wrong, always believing himself to be right.
"If your gonna come make it quick" could be referring to his initially rapid rise to power and his blitzkrieg (lightning war) tactics.
"Columbia I blame" is referring to Columbia Aircraft, the company that co-designed the Spitfire, the plane that caused hitler to lose the battle for Britain.
"Let us burn back to life To do it all again" - He died whilst Berlin was in flames, and would surely want to return to change the course of history.
For most of the song the "fire eye'd boy" gave them all the slip (referring to howmost european countries at first had no idea of his intentions) But at the end he "gets his ass whipped" - he was eventually defeated by the allies.
makes sense, no?

I agree with Dropbeat about the Columbia bit. I think it's a very personal song, could be about blazing trees since your eyes turn read, giving people the slip to continue your habit. And then maybe dealing with the consequences of this by getting your ass whipped.

PS I think tatters up there is smoking chronic too, because Hitler? wtf with these conspiracies.

Gig13 is right on it. Because if you notice, like half there songs are about drugs and they have a song called cocaine skin. It is definitely about how there was some sort of cocaine addiction that you blame columbia for making the shit and you get your ass whipped when you're caught either by parents or maybe in jail. but wtf taters. are you some dumb neo nazi skin head asshole or something. not everything has to be related to some ignorant fuck like hitler.

I was listening to this today, in an excited and very competitive state.

I think the song is about an ambitious young person, ready to take on the world. He's "always right" and giving "em all the slip." And then at the end, the song wraps up by saying that the ambitions youngster doesn't really get that far.

Personally, I don't think this song is about drugs or hitler or anything that concrete - I think its more about the ideas of naivety and ambition.
