Been swallowing my debris
Without a trace of dignity
I'm living a fallacy and
Been holding tight to all I can't keep
One memory
One memory
This time's the last I'll second guess
Your legacy
Your legacy
This time's the last I will forget

So can't you take
All of me
All of me
All of me?
Once and for all
Can't you take me?

I recognize the causes
Now I'm cutting all my losses
Severing all the hindrance
Shedding the viral skin of infection
You'd never believe the wolf I became (this time)
In moments of weakness and disarray (this time)
But now they can try to beat it out of me (this time)
I'm welcome to the challenge of emergency

Out of the halls of ruin
The slow burn slow steady climb this time
'Bout to reverse the movement
And I'm quite sure you know just where I'm heading

Have your mom read Andrew Schwab's book, "It's All Downhill From Here" (published by Relevant Books). If she wants to know how "they can call themselves a Christian band and never once mention Jesus' name," she can definitely find out there.

General Comment:theres lots of christian bands that never say Jesus in the lyrics but they are definatley christian bands-you can tell by the lyrics(if you can understand them which at times is hard) they dont say jesus because they are tring to change kids lives that dont believe in God and would stop listening if they knew it was christian music. But to deal with ur mom you can go to the back of the lyrics in the cd and see who they thank. If they are a good christian band i garuntie that at least one band member will thank Christ,God,their Creator, their Lord and Savior.etc.

General Comment:i think this song is pretty selfexplanatory
they are sort of calling to God to take "all of me" and use them for His will
also, like sincerely ichabod, its about getting junk[sin] out of your life--"severing all the hindrance"
towards the end he sort of welcomes controversy--"But now they can try to beat it out of me, I'm welcome to the challenge of emergency" hes strong in his faith and confident that nothing can shake him

Project 86 rocks, but God rules.
