I'm a HUGE MCR fan, and also fucking love the Misfits. MCR are HUGE Misfits fans, it makes sense that they'd do a cover, and they did a fanfuckingtastic job at that! Both versions fucking rock. Like without a sound said, you should respect other peoples opinions and don't go jumping down peoples throats when they state their opinions...

its fair to say that my chemical romance did service to the misfits!!!
some of you will debate a cover is never better than the original but you have to accept other peoples opinions okay!! i love mcr they covered this song fantastically they rock!!!

Rattfink, I was merely pointing out that this cover is a bit more "Clean" than the Misfits version... I was not saying that the original was bad, I was simply saying that the cover sounded a bit sharper... I'm a sound quality freak, so sorry if I said something that you disagreed with.

And I do listen to the Misfits, thank you very much. ;)

Yes you fucking can say a cover is better than the original. Come on would you rather listen to the Softcell version of Tainted Love then the Marilyn Manson version? I know I fucking wouldn't. Who fucking cares about the misfits being all influential and shit if MCR did a good job and people like it better it's their opinion. My Chemical Romance are a fucking awesome band who do great music

I have both the Misfits and MCR versions, and I like this one better. They're both great, just this one sounds...cleaner in a way I guess, and it's a bit faster. I first heard it when I was playing THAW, and now it's the only song from the playlist I have playing. But it's quickly become my favourite song, and it's the perfect song to listen to when I'm getting ready to go somewhere I don't want to....like work. Gerard's pronunciation of some words is great, and I love his vocals on this song.

i have that one tony hawk game and i love this song. i knew this was a cover before because i had a cousin who's obssesed with the misfits, but i really like both versions, even though i'm more of a MCR fan... too bad the misfits didn't have the "technology"..

Misfits version is more well Misfits and this is more of an MCR interpretation or homage seeing as the guys listened to The Misfits.

Meaning is self explanatory.

And I'm from Scotland too which is funny cos today I read Gerard and Mikey are half Italian and half Scottish.

I recommend that you listen to that version if you haven't already...This one is way better.

Ah I disagree and agree. The sound quality of MCR's version is better due to the high tech equipment we have now but the song is better when it's done by the Misfits. Personally I like both versions very much but if the Misfits had the equipment we do when they made this song, you better belive it would so kick MCR's ass to Pluto.^^

Im sorry but you cant say a cover is better than the original... Ohh and another thing any person that listens to punk or emo should at least know the Misfits.
Im sorry if i can acrossed a bit harsh, but it pissed me off that some of you people are BIG ENOUGH POSERS to now even know who the misfits are!
