I adore both MCR and the 'Fits ['77 - '83] alike, and I can honestly say that this cover.. sucks.

Songs like Astro Zombies shouldn't try to be covered. It's fuckin' vintage, just leave it alone.

Did you guys know the misfites don't like MCR?
Yeah, MCR are a bunch of nice dudes, but the black parade sucks so bad.
I heard they coverd this song a while back but I never heard it.
If it's anything like the black parade it's not worh my time.

St.Helena, wow, that was a very interesting comment. I just want to say that MCR don't want to be the Misfits, they just did a cover of the song. For a video game. I haven't heard the original version of the song, but I do like the Misfits.
Maybe the people who don't like MCR, or don't like the song, shouldn't listen to it. Simple?

Anyway, I like this song. It's fun, catchy & rockyy. I'll be sure to check out the original version, but I'll probably like this one more.
That doesn't mean, MCR haters, that this song is better. I just like it more. =)

I love the Misfits...I love MCR....I think this one is a good cover....and Gerard is not trying to be Danzig...they just covered the song because they like it..and they are Misfits fans to..come on! MCR rocks all the time........and they made a good job here! Love both versions!!

Are you serious? Gerard Way covered GLENN DANZIG? This is the worst cover I've ever heard. I can't believe that MCR even attempted to sound anything remotely like the Misfits. Gerard way turns all of Danzigs "Yeah!"s literally into things like "weeeeealghghgh" mush. Talk about giving the Misfits "equiptment"? Why doesn't someone get Gerard a fucking better voice? In this song he sounds like some guy that gets subjected to a bunch of very loquacious twelve-year-old girls, unavoidably picks up on their speech impediments himeslf, including all of the over-exaggerated high notes and weird drawn out words, gets pumped full of estrogen, and then tries to sing a song about EXTERMINATING the WHOLE fucking RACE! I agree with mikeyhelikesit. "Britney Spears may as well have covered it." Gerard Way tried to play dress-up and just didn't have the right clothes. Sadly, it was a worthy band MCR tried to immitate.
I'm sorry Mister's and Misses out there who appreciate his "talent", but Gerard Way is just not the way to go when trying to cover the Misfits. The Misfits are just so far above and beyond what MCR is trying to be. They could never aspire to someone as great as the Misfits.

Honestly when i read the first two pages of posts my blood boils. Its so infuriating that i can hardly type,The misfits changed the way that music is performed, written and made,(world-wide) their impact on the industry is legendary. The misfits made their own instruments themselves and played gigs to gain a grass roots audience. they never,ever cared about album sales. Nothing is sacred anymore it seems, absofuckinglutely ridiculous, you're all morons. Honestly Britney spears may as well have covered it.

Perhaps t3gan7 you will realize that any half-assed musician will the financial backing of this band could cut recordings of this stature without ever breaking a sweat, there is no creativity, complexity or even real thought put into these songs. MCR writes music for the radio so they can make alot of money, and laugh at people like you who feel inspired by, or identify with this mass-produced cookie-cutter shite. perhaps if you tried to find an artist who cares about their music, real artists could make a comeback against this army of sell-outs who take advantage of teenage naivety. Besides they really really suck live, gerard can't hit the notes he records, and the entire band plays like shit. Its too pathetic for words. I won't tell this to my diary because such blatant ignorance must be corrected, especially when its this blasphemous, if they hadn't covered a misfits song the post would never have been written.

Wow there are alot of people that hate MCR. Good on you. i'm a fan of MCR and actually enjoy it when people hate them. I really dont know why but its good to know not everyone is following the "omgz, gerard is sooO hOt" trend. I listen to they're music cause i enjoy what it sounds like and what it stands for. Not cause of what the lead singer, or any other member looks like.
I agree with chemotherapy "if you like it, you like it. if you don't, tell it to your diary."
