Everybody sees me
But it's not that easy
Standing in the life fields
Standing in the light fields
Waiting for some action
Waiting for some action over
Why won't you come over here?

Why won't you come over here?
We've got a city to love

Why won't you come over here?
We've got a city to love

Oh damn good years
You've got? so show me
I know you messed up
When I saw you

You're cold
You're so cold
You're so cold
You're so cold

Nobody can see me
Everything's too easy
Standing in the life field
Standing in the light field
Waiting for some action
Waiting for some action

She said why won't you come over here?

Why won't you come over here?
We've got a city to love

Why won't you come over here?
We've got a city to love

Oh down the soul

And I said "set free"
You never chose me
For a while it was nice
But it's time to say goodbye

You're cold
You're so cold
You're so cold
You're so cold

No no no cold
You're so cold
You're so cold
You're so cold

Oh no no no no cold
You're so cold
You're so cold
You're so cold

No no you're so cold

My Interpretation:It's about how it's become harder for him to get laid now that he's famous, as compared to before.

The first verse is how it is now: "Everybody sees me" meaning he's up on stage and huge crowds know who he is, "But it's not that easy." He's waiting for some action, but eventually it's him who chooses someone and asks "Why won't you come over here?" because he wants to have sex with them.

This part could be wrong, but I think the next lines are about how many people want the band to come to their city, and yet when they get there, they still can't get laid. Maybe I just find that idea funny, who knows.

(The lyrics listed are obviously wrong, it goes "old time grudges/will die so slowly/I know you miss the/way I saw you")
The "Old time grudges" lines could be about how he tried to go back to an ex because he was frustrated, but she refused him (was "so cold"). He tries to convince her she misses him, but old grudges die slowly.

The next verse goes back to before the band got famous, when they first started playing shows. "Nobody can see me/Everything's too easy," meaning girls were throwing themselves at him at that time. He wasn't waiting for action, he had actresses calling him over ("actress" being a euphemism for a hot chick, basically because it rhymes with "action" from the first verse. Although I'd definitely believe it if Julian said he had some actresses hitting on him).

(Again the listed lyrics are wrong, it's "Old time love song/will die so swiftly/You never trust me/For awhile it was nice/But it's time to say bye.")
Then he goes into how he broke up with the ex mentioned previously. Maybe he did so around the time the other girls started lining up ("You never trust me" is said to his girlfriend, who was getting jealous). Now he regrets breaking up with her, but she won't take him back. She's "So cold..." as are all the girls who keep rejecting him now.

The whole song just seems to be about sexual frustration. It builds up slow tension and then releases it over and over.

General Comment:Lost count of how many people on here think it's about sex. Lol!

My take: it's pretty obvious (to me anyway), 'Juicebox' is Julian referring to electricity (juice) going through his amp (box) and "everybody sees him" cause he's up playing on stage with the band in the middle of the light show ("light field")

"Waiting for some action"... "you're so cold" - the fans are supposed to be singing along but they're just uselessly standing there. Come on, we've all seen crowds like this!

Song Meaning:Well... I looked up "Juicebox" on Urban Dictionary... and watching the video... I think it's about sex. About getting some and not getting some... and the feelings he felt when he was having sex with this person.

I don't know, this was tough.

General Comment:Aside from the vocals, guitar, and bass, the lyrics are awesome! undErneeth, I completely agree! I felt like I had exagrerated a little, but it feels great that someone else out there totally interprets the song the same way I do. I also believe that “Juicebox” is about sleeping with a harlot, and just leaving her after the work is done.

General Comment:Hmm this song always confuses me one way I see it is he wants a girl to come to him"Why won't you come over here" but she's being sort of a tease and just wants to play around which is why he's says "your so cold" but it could be taken differently just one though :)

General Comment:The video is perfect. Both are about sex without love, just pure lust and they strange lengths people will go to to get their "fix".
