This was the first love song that Isaac ever wrote. This is a great song to hear live because he gets everyone into it by having the crowd sing the Oh, Oh, Oh part.

This is an awsome song. I sung it to a girl who is now my girlfriend once I figured out how to play it. It's a great love song and just by reading it you can figure it out

This is the best song ever. Seriously. I haven't found a better song this than this one.

Obviously, this song is about a guy that wants to be with a girl he's in love with. I don't have an in depth explanation. The meaning is quite clear. Man, i can get enough of this song.

THis is an awesome song!!! Its about a man confessing his love for a woman and despite the possibility of rejection he takes a chance...I love it.such a simple yet deep song

my sister recently saw them in concert (lucky her) and she told me how a guy and a girl was gonna go to that concert for the girl's birthday, but then the guy got sent to iraq so he wrote a letter to The Fray explaining his situation, so before they were gonna play this song, they pulled out his letter and read it to the crowd, and then called the girl down to the front and sang the song to her. that's so cool!

I have to agree with everyone else's posts. I absolutely love this song! When I first heard it it made me melt and it still does it everytime. It's one of those songs that as soon as you hear it start you saw awwwww. I can just imagine how emotional someone would get if a guy sang this to them. The lyrics of all their songs have so much meaning and power behind them. They are an amazing band!

This song is about, quite simply, trying to tell someone just to love you. The second verse reminds me of Spin by Lifehouse, as it states (to paraphrase) when the world is crazy and upside down, you are the one that makes sense of it. I think the part where I fall in love with this and want to cry is where he says "You've begun to feel like home" honestly, what an amazing line to say to someone you love.

..seriously...what words could be any sweeter? ..moving on...this song is absolutely beautiful. his voice is so unique and soothing.. he sings this song with such grace and confidence. it makes you feel every emotion that he is singing..and then its like you suddenly realize that you have experienced everything in this song. beautiful :)

This song is too cool. I love it. You gotta love it. Who doesn't love this song. It is a beautiful love song. "Ther now, steady love, so few come and don't go" how great does it feel to know that besides a few friends and family members that you are 1 of the few he wants to stay? "It's always have and never hold, you've begun to feel like home" I would fall like that!

i agree with most of you, this is the fray's best song, by far. over my head is good but overrated. when i saw them in concert i was just hoping hoping hoping they'd play this. when they finally did my friend turned to me and goes "merry christmas." those few minutes of my life were some of the best. and i did get to sing along :)
and i agree wth kacbb about the line "you've begun to feel like home".. that is a reference that is just transcendental, can you think of a better way to describe that feeling when you find that person?

My sister Prowler Kid up there, gets on my nereves with this song. She's always singing it and loves to torture me with the oh, oh, oh parts. I think it is about a guy trying to tell a girl how he feels. I think this is my sisters favorite song.

Musicians are always on the road. The author wonders how long his girlfriend will stick around, because of the demands of his career...("So few come and don't go.") He wants something he can come home to, something constant and comforting (When I'm losing my control, the city spins around. You're the only one who knows, you slow it down.) Someone who will always be there for him. ("Will you won't you, be the one I always know.")

He is asking her to be patient. ("Forgive the urgency but hurry up and wait.") He's asking her to be with him, and he'll take care of her and love her no matter what. "You've begun to feel like home." How beautiful is that.

my god i love this song. the first time i heard it was on One Tree Hill, it was the coda for one of the epiosdes. The song with the scences and Nathan's voice over was awesome. A really emotionally moment

Yeah, top song :) .. Pretty sure it's about how because he's in a band, hes always on the move, meaning he has to leave his girl behind. "If I don't say this now I will surely break, as i'm leaving the one I want to take".

He's pretty much asking for her to decide whether shes going to stay with him and wait for him to come home from his touring with the band. "Forgive the urgency, but hurry up and wait" .. saying i dont mean to rush you, but please wait for me, because i need you.

Some really nice lyrics in this song. I'd say this song closely follows 'How to save a life' as The Fray's best song yet. Loving it :)

well. he's not MY guy. yet. and i'm hoping ya'll can help me with this.

so i met him summer of 2004. and i don't know if you guys believe in love at first sight - but i sure as hell do. i saw him, and i remember thinking "he's going to be impossible to forget." my friends even remember my face when i first saw him. i melted. the funny thing is, i'm the only one who thinks he's even remotely attractive. don't get me wrong...i'm not like a loser or anything. i just knew from that moment...he's the one.

by the end of the summer, we were dating. my god, i fell really hard and fast. we broke up after a short time, but still stayed in contact. now it was summer 2006 and i hadn't seen him alone since summer 2004. but, then, we decided to meet up. i had a boyfriend at the time, but i didn't give a shit. it was my baby, adam. i got to his house, looked into his beautiful brown eyes, and there i go again. melting.

you see...he has some problems. he had add and adhd. he has trouble accepting love. from anyone, even his family. he would push me away, then pull me back. i KNOW he's the one. i KNOW it. he just won't let his emotions show.

i was talking to him on the phone the other day, and he said the most amazing thing i have ever heard. the said "the reason i've been avoiding actually dating yous is because i know that if we date, i'm afraid that i'll do something or say something so incredibly stupid that you will never speak to me again."

i just want him to fucking let go, and love me. i know it's in there.

this song described everything i feel for him and more. i'm going to play it at my wedding. hopefully with adam.

if any of you read this far...i hope you can help me with a cute way to show him, possible with this song?
