    General Comment:I agree that I believe this song is about drugs or addiction. You keep trying to get away but you can't. And that the person fought going to rehab (like some addicts) and it kept her from getting back to her happiness. Not to mention, this song is like a drug to me. The beginning vibes make my eyes roll back into my head. It sounds like a song about addiction.

    General Comment:Personally, the first two lines of the song, I believe are about a person who decided to take their own life. "you should have made it right, so you wouldnt have to fight, to put a smile back on your face."
    I think that this refers to the idea of them getting help. They shouldve gotten help and maybe they couldve over came their troubles and began to smile again and enjoy the life that they once did before. Now they have to look down and realize that more people loved and cared about them than they could have ever imagined.

    General Comment:I actually thought the begining part was about her considering suicide. "You swear you recall nothing at all, that would make you come back down. You made up your mind to leave it all behind" that's like she's standing on a drop, ready to fall, and she can't think of anything good to come back downn to... in the end she doesn't do it, so she's forced to keep on living "You're forced to fight it out"

    I don't think it's necisarily about a boyfriend/girlfriend... it could be about anything. An ex- boyfriend that she ended with badly, or a bad childhood, or any kind of mistake. She should have let go, rather than running away from it, but she's run so far now, that it keeps following.

    General Comment:i agree with zoo - you've done something stupid and you just can't outrun it... it follows you... forever - you think you're cool with it, but EVERYONE remembers it and you just can't outrun it - love, god, drugs, whatever... it haunts you... forever, no matter what

    General Comment:Hmmm ...
    I think this ong is about attempting to move on with your life and getting over things in the past - whether they be positive or negative. No matter how many horrible memoires haunt us or even how many amazing memories we want to cling to ... we have to stay in the present.
    But in this song, as the person is trying to get through, the past keeps coming up. Maybe he keeps seeing a person that reminds him of eveything that happened? It's happened to me, I know that much.

    Fits with my situation that I place this song to. So true too when you do something wrong that is all you can think of and you try to ignore it but it follows your every thought. Beautiful song.
