Behind those eyes,
Lies the truth and grief
Behind those beautiful smiles,
I've seen tragedy.
The flawless skin hides the secrets within,
The silent forces that secretly ignite your sins.

Fly away, fly away,
From the torch if blame.
They hunt you,
The Lucifer's Angel.
Never live, you never died,
Your life has been denied.
They call you,
The Lucifer's Angel.

Behind these clouds,
You can hide all your tears.
Beyond this world,
You'll be safe from their wicked fears.
And in their hearts,
They fear your demands.
You know their minds won't accept you,
They'll never understand.

Fly away, fly away,
From the torch of blame.
They hunt you,
The Lucifer's Angel.
Never live, you never died,
Your life has been denied.
They call you
The Lucifer's angel

On your own,
I know you can make it.
Truth or bone,
I know you can shake it.
Survive alone,
I know you can take it.

Fly away fly away
From the darkened blade
From the torch if blame.
They hunt you,
The Lucifer's Angel.
Never live, you never died,
Your life has been denied.
They call you,
The Lucifer's Angel.

Fly away, fly away.
Run away, run away.
Hide away, hide away.
Lucifer's Angel.

My Interpretation:These lyrics are easy for me to understand. It's about labeling people because they are different.

My Interpretation:This song doesn't talk about Lucifer. It's a metaphor, it's about a misunderstood person. This song totally describes me, the first time I heard it, I could related to it immediately.

Song Meaning:It's probably about some supernatural creature with the appearance of a beautiful woman (or man), but also with it's nature and humanity. She is haunted because of her powers, that due to the human ignorance ("Beyond this world, you'll be safe from their wicked fears"). Nobody can help her, but thanks to her powers, which also are the reason of her isolation, she can survive all alone against everyone else ("On your own, I know you can make it. Truth or bone, I know you can shake it. Survive alone, I know you can take it")

I just need one thing; I'm not english, and I can't really understand the meaning of "truth or bone"; could someone explain it to me?

General Comment:I think it's about something to do with witch burning except maybe she's a real witch...a girl with amazing powers who is so beautiful, and maybe it's the Christian Church or something that's trying to hunt her down, and I see the singer as someone who sees the story happening and tries to help the girl, although he can't do much. I love this song, i find it really deep and moving. 'm sure the girl it talks about has some great and terrible challenge or task she has to complete. I mean, it's so vivd i don't see it as a metaphor but a real story.

My Interpretation:I think that this song may be, at least potentially, about a tragic villain (a villain born out of tragedy which typically involves or is caused by the evil of others, and is typically not pure evil), or even a misunderstood or secluded hero or one who is not even aligned. On You Tube, music videos have been posted with this song about Sephiroth of Final Fantasy VII (an angelically beautiful tragic villain who is an angel of sorts whose malice rose [at least in part] from the fact that he was born to be a weapon to serve the pure evil Shinra empire), Raven of Teen Titans (a secluded and partially misunderstood hero, also angelically beautiful to at least some extent, who is the offspring of a demon and needs to restrain her emotions because they are essentially a weapon, among other things) and Shadow of the Sonic franchise [but using footage from Shadow The Hedgehog] (a tragic villain and a tragic hero, torn apart by the murder of his friends and his own captivity by the corrupt Guardian Units of Nations, his twofold memory loss and his connections to the pure evil devil-like Black Doom). In fact, Shadow is one of the most perfect archetypes as Black Doom, with whose deoxyribonucleic acid he [Shadow] is infused and who tries to make him [Shadow] do his [Black Doom's] bidding, is probably comparable to Satan (and certainly almost powerful enough), who as we all know, was once Lucifer (Bearer of Light).

General Comment:Someone a few years back gave me the nickname 'Lucifer's Angel', I finnaly understand now.

It's about someone whom has been hurt deeply in their past, going through hell on earth. To the point to where, hell seems like home. Always searching for the void in her heart. It's a hard life to go through, and even harder when you are being yourself, and are being shunned for it.

Yes, it's about beauty, and in a simmilar way, it is about witches.

Honestly, how many witches do you see that are green and disgusting?

Beauty lies within the heart, not our clothing.

And, witches are highly misunderstood in the past.

To put it simply, a misunderstood girl, who gets picked on because of her beauty.
    Everyone has been there.
(People kill what they do not understand.)

General Comment:i see alot of what you are saying Gianaryn, i see that this is about a beautiful girl who because of her beauty is shunned but she kept the hurt inside of her hidden behind her face. until she just had to get away, so she is seeking someplace were she will be accepted but the singer is saying that only beyond this world will you be accepted so you need to fly away. maybe is sugjestive of commiting suicide also when it says "never live, you never died" it is saying that you were never truly alowed to live because of lifes prejudices so killing yourself wont realy mean that you will die since you never got to live. anyways thats just what im getting pritty sad song it speeks to me.

General Comment:It's about the burning of the witches
this quickly became my favorite song for that reason because alot of people were burned at the stake for being a witch and it was unfair

General Comment:This song is about a girl who is incredibly beautiful (see first verse) and because of this and maybe some power she has, the townspeople shun her, calling her "Lucifer's Angel", again referring to either her beauty (for Lucifer was the most beautiful angel of all before he fell) or some power she possesses or likely, both.

The reason I say this is because it seems to be human nature to, when you see someone who's as beautiful as the song describes, just want to scratch their eyes out. Even without knowing the girl, you feel that instant jealousy and convince yourself that she must be mean or evil or sold her soul for her beauty, don't you think?

Also, the second verse ("their minds won't accept you, they'll never understand") strongly indicates some sort of power possesed by this girl, alienating her even further.

The fact that the girl sheds tears shows that she isn't evil at all, just lonely and isolated. I tend to think that she might even have died (commited suicide) as she is now "beyond these clouds" and "beyond this world", but that's not set in stone for me.

That's my opinion, let me know what you think.
