Hello little boys, little toys
We're the dreams you're believing
Crawling up the walls
Running down your face
Razor sharp, razor clean,
Feel the weapon's sensation
On your back
With loaded guns

Now hold onto me pretty baby
If you want to fly
I'm gonna melt the fever sugar
Rolling back your eyes

We're gonna ride the race cars
We're gonna dance on fire
We're the girls le disco
Supersonic overdrive

So what's it gonna take?
Silver shadow believer
Spock rocker with your dirty eyes
It's a chance gonna move
Gonna fuck up your ego
Silly boy gonna make you cry

Now hold onto me pretty baby
If you want to fly
I'm gonna melt the fever sugar
Rolling back your eyes

We're gonna ride the race cars
We're gonna dance on fire
We're the girls le disco
Supersonic overdrive

We're gonna ride the race cars
We're gonna dance on fire
We're the girls le disco
Supersonic overdrive

If what they say is true
You're a boy - and I'm a girl
I will never fall in love with you

Gonna ride the race cars
We're gonna dance on fire
We're the girls le disco
Supersonic overdrive

Gonna ride the race cars
We're gonna dance on fire
We're the girls le disco
Supersonic overdrive

Yea!

Gonna ride the race cars
We're gonna dance on fire
We're the girls le disco
Supersonic overdrive

Pretty much just about girls/ girls who like other girls.

Its saying, hey you're never gonna have a chance with us, yet you continue to fantasize, you silly little boys. We're gonna screw you over, because we can, because you want us so bad.

Its a really naughty song, its saying "come get me" on one hand but on the other "aah but you cant have me."

Its pretty patronising to men, with girls assuming the superior position.

    Brilliant

    Okay the part-

"If what they say is true, you're a boy, and im a girl. I will never fall in love with you" Could mean something other than lesbians...

"If what they say is true,"- okay so like what they say about love and relationships that it's hard and filled with heartbreak and sorrow.

"you're a boy, and im a girl"- You are boy obviously and I'm a girl obviously

"I will never fall in love with you"- so I can't fall for you cause in the end it will only hurt

So to go along with the rest of the song she will only play with boys not fall for them cause she doesn't want to get hurt

okay, only one cmnt on this. pathetic, kiddos.

okay. to me, this song sounds like someone was high. but that's just my opinion. reasons: Razor sharp, Razor clean = coke

Crawling up the walls Running down your face = side effect. some people can "feel" things crawling on them.

If you want to fly I'm gonna melt the fever sugar Rolling back your eyes = again, high.

We're gonna ride the race cars We're gonna dance on fire = sounds like a trip.

Silly boy gonna make you cry = some people cry.

and thats what i think. :]

To me, it seems to be a lot more about sex than drugs.

Just a bunch of clever ways of saying how great it's gonna be, but how she's just using him, blah blah blah.

    That's what I get, anyway.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
