I am thinking it's a sign
That the freckles in our eyes
Are mirror images and when we kiss
They're perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate
That God himself did make us
Into corresponding shapes
Like puzzle pieces from the clay
And true it may seem like a stretch
But it's thoughts like this that catch
My troubled head when you're away
When I am missing you to death
When you are out there on the road
For several weeks of shows
And when you scan the radio
I hope this song will guide you home

They will see us waving from such great heights
"Come down now" they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
"Come down now" but we'll stay

I've tried my best to leave
This all on your machine
But the persistent beat
It sounded thin upon listening
And that frankly will not fly
You'll hear the shrillest highs
And lowest lows with the windows down
When this is guiding you home

They will see us waving from such great heights
"Come down now" they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
"Come down now" but we'll stay

General Comment:This is my "make my worries go away" song.

I"m a big fan of both The Postal Service (and Death Cab) as well as Iron

How romantic- beautiful! I hope a man wrote this song, warms my heart that a man could think up these lyrics

General Comment:I like how candycanechild88 put it. It's such a romantic but honest song. This couple seems so happy and perfect together to everyone, but they have problems just like anyone else. It's about working past the problems and just being in love and happy together despite everyone and everything else.

Also, this is my favorite cover of a song ever. The Postal Service original doesn't even compare.

General Comment:I'll admit it. I cried at this song. I thought it was beautiful and remains to this day one of my favorite songs.

General Comment:I'm sure Iron and Wine wrote this song. The Postal Service one is way to poppy and hyperactive, it doesn't suit the lyrics at all.

General Comment:This song reminds my how love can give you such a high, and take you away from reality. It reminds me of the magical/fantasy love can hinder one to go in:) <3 it

General Comment:i really like both versions of this song but i used this version to walk down the aisle at my wedding. it worked out perfectly because they were able to play the beginning part with no lyrics to signal people to stand up and then it took me just long enough to walk up the aisle that they just faded out the song after he said "like puzzel pieces from the clay." i refused to walk to here comes the bride and the first few lines of this song were the perfect sentiment of how i felt for my husband.

General Comment:personally I like the version by the Postal Service better, because the upbeat nature of the song really makes you feel like your floating away,

although, the iron and wine version would be better if it was being used as a wedding song? maybe?
idk just a random thought lol

My Opinion:I personally love The Postal Service version just because it was what I fell in love with. But, the two songs feel like completely different. I listen to the Postal Service when I feel like dancing and then this version when I'm more mellow and relaxed. But I still love both :]
