  General Comment:I agree with the whole slut tries to steal "her" man thing.. But also the verse:

  Makes me think these lyrics might mean something else to. In some of Alison's live performanses of this track, she's changed the lyrics to:
  
  He's my man
  Yeah *she's* my man
  You don't understand
  
  And seeing Alison's got a girlfriend a while back, maybe this song whas hinting to her bisexuality as well..
  
  Anyways.. amazing track!

  My Opinion:This song always strikes me as a bit stalkerish rather than protective, sounds very deluded and manic (especially when she repeats saying love towards the end). It always reminds me of Misery bu Stephen King.

  Maybe not necessarily the exact meaning she meant for it to be... but that's what it came out as for me. And it works so well because my boyfriend's ex-girlfriend is being all sneaky and trying to get him back (which won't happen)... So, when I listen to this song I start thinking about her and saying
  "Yeah, he's my man... you don't understand"

  General Comment:It is just "teh coolest" song, though :D. I love how it makes seemingly "old fashioned" beats and instruments (i.e. the almost robotic 4/4 and the honky tonk piano) just sooo awesome! Although I think the lyrics are rather self explanatory. Her "man" is some glam star that some people may not understand why she loves, but still manages to turn many peoples' heads ;).
