The Architects are the race of extraterrestrials that created the Setians, the original inhabitants of Earth. After humans invaded Earth and nearly destroyed the Setians, the Setians plotted to gain revenge by erasing our memories of where we came from and how we got here, and implanting various religions to turn us against each other and weaken the human race through infighting. That was ten thousand years ago, and now we're weak enough that they can come out of hiding and destroy us once the prophecied Setian military genius called Set Abominae is ready to lead them.
But this song indicates that humans are starting to figure out what "the force-fed religions of Man" are doing to us, whose purposes they really serve and where they came from.

The ability of faith is the key... faith in our selves because we are the descendants of our gods. Waking up is presenting the challenge again to open your eyes. What lies beyond the stars is our creators and we should learn and discover what and all we can to venture on and join them. Our creators ventured on to discover what is more the truth of their spirit and to seek others.
This is a challenge presented to mankind to follow the footsteps of the architects and discover the universe. Leave behind our petty ways and create our selves.
