i'll stop
stabbing
when you stop
screaming

it's dropping to the terrain at my feet
palm trees are my only company
on this beach
star crossed lovers obsess
alluring dreams of touching starry skies
ill love you until my last breathe
each speck of sand fills in each footstep along the shore
as every tide rolls in; every one takes its toll
the salt in this water is nauseating
keeping me trapped and running in circles
on this beach star crossed lovers obsess
alluring dreams of touching starry skies
a quick glance over my shoulder reveals a number only seen in the movies
chardes of glass, and a decayed piece of parchment half buried that reads:
'you cured me of my foolish obsession with love'
i'll love you until my last breath takes you from me

General Comment:Well, if the number only seen in the movies incorporates 'Shards of glass and a decayed piece of parchment that reads - You've cured me of my foolish obsession with love,' should it be taken into account what is actually in this scene? Because it seems that the basic thought of this song is that an obsession with love and the perfect romance (Or rather, the illusion of it) was shattered, and as it was shattered among the shards you are cured of your obsession with this romance. However, if it is the broken shards and the paper that is only seen in the movies, then wouldn't that mean that this perfect romance is quite real? It seems to conradict itself. I may be overthinking that, but that's what this site is for.

General Comment:the line "you cured me of my foolish obsession of love" is from the movie eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. anthony green based juturna on that movie and at the time anthony green and craig owens were writing together and beginning solo projects after the break up of the sound of animals fighting.

General Comment:Guys, "number" is another word used to mean scene [like a theatre scene]. xD

So he's not talking bout an actual number. He's saying that he looks over his shoulder and sees something that you might see in a movie.

General Comment:A number only seen in the movies could be 555, but that really doesn't make any sense.

General Comment:Dude EVERYONE references Shakespeare he is the single most influential play-write of all time. He will probably stay that way till Jesus comes back and gets his memoirs on Oprahs book club,
