i think its about someone who is in love with their best friend but cant tell them and now their friend is leaving and he/she really wants to tell their friend the truth.
he/she may even be accepting the fact that they wont ever tell their friend through the lines "So close your eyes, but don't dream too deep
And please pass me some memories"
as if to say, "youll always be my best friend, and ill always love you but go on with your life and ill go on with mine, just dont forget me"

i feel like it about talking to a friend who may not be in a good place in their life. Someone's trying to tell them how much they mean in this world and that they are very important. It's about knowing that in someways we all feel pain and if we have eachother we can share expierences and not feel that our emotions way over our lives.

but she is finally coming to terms with it knowing that her friend will still be there living an eternal life and watching over her.
Another way of looking at it is she may have realized the importance of a good friend and promises never to take them for granted and is overwhelmed by the fact that she has someone for life.

To me this song is about how really good friends can help you through rough times. They can catch you when you fall and put you back on your feet. You can also think about God that way. He will always catch you and set you straight again. He will never betray you no matter how many times you betray Him. He will always forgive you if you ask for Him to.

but now, it almost makes me cry out of happiness because I've found the most amazing girl who has helped me deal with a lot of shit. so now when I listen to this song. I think of her, how shes helped me & how much I love her & how we are going to be together forever.

I kinda fell in love with a friend but could never tell him. He made me the happiest person in the world even if it was just seeing him for 5 minutes. I couldn't even explain it. And I hoped for him to always be a best friend to me. I now say I just miss him cuz I don't get to see him a lot but I know I still love him.

I think this song is talking about a friend who died...
Like how in the first verse it says about and have i ever told you how muchyou mean to me.
They are saying they never got to tell them what they ment to them before it was too late.
And it says they are gazing at eternity
So its like there friend slipped away ito eternity.
And then in the second verse it talks about dancing and being together so its like in her mind they are still together.
An then at the end "so close your eyes but dont dream too deep"
Its like saying you died but ill see you agian one day your not gone forever.
"pass me some memories"
I remember you and relive the moments we had together.
And then "when i fall your underneath"
I can still picture and feel you with me.

When I hurt you hurt too and you are with me.

I don't think it's necessarily about death, per se.
I think that it's about someone that means so much to you, that you don't even know how to express it the right way, and you never want them to leave because you're so happy when you're with them.
