Blue October – Libby I'm Listening

  Song Meaning:*DISCLAIMER* I have just obtained a copy of Justin Furstenfeld's book Crazy Making. It's not very detailed, but it contains all the lyrics to all current (The Answers - Approaching Normal) Blue October songs, and his inspiration behind them. As I said, it's not very detailed, but it's his words on every Blue October song that is in the book. I know everyone interprets a song differently from everyone else, but having the original intent behind the song will be helpful to people who don't fully understand a song. Also, any grammatical errors are not made by me, I'm putting down Justin's words exactly how he writes them. So yea... enjoy :)

  i agree with the above comments, especially with "gunmetalblue5591", but i also think, that he is sexual attracted to libby and hates himself for that, because he can not REALLY listen.. he abuses her with his ignorance & when it comes to the "Please!"-thing, i always thought, that he can not control himself any longer (or hardly)..he likes this girl very much (her soul) and wants to help her..so that this line explain a kind of self-discipline (a cry out for that). Or he wishes that he can be warm to her..and calm..without any "other thoughts"

  General Comment:I agree with you rburn17 but I also think he wants to be with libby(the guy in the song not justin)so hes being a good friend while also showing her hes better for her than the other guy is

  General Comment:This song is simply about being the "friend" to a girl who is with someone else. Someone who isn't particularly good for the girl. I think at one point in life every guy has been in this situation.
