    Song Meaning:I believe that the song was written by KT when she was at school in Connecticut and is almost like a letter home to her father. Her (adoptive) father was a physicist/astronomer @ Edinburgh University & was a big influence on her life and his occupation gave her the title to the 'Eye to the Telescope' album.

    The lines 'With your child's eyes, You are more than you seem,
    You see into space...
    I see into your face...
    The places you've been...
    The things you have learned...
    They sit with you so beautifully' seem to be KT's way of appreciating her father's occupation & curiousity.

    General Comment:This song always reminds me of the Doctor and Rose from Doctor Who... but then, half of KT Tunstall's songs remind me of Doctor Who. It's probably just me being a Doctor Who nerd.

    General Comment:this is a beautiful song, must admit i much prefer the acoustic version, i recently sung this song at my grandads funeral. so i think the lyrics can be interpreted in a vast amount of different ways but definatley is centred around a relationship.
    "I can feel everything you do,

    Even when your miles away"

    these lines especially mean alot to me, how even though loved ones arent always around their essence remains sometimes to the point when you swear they infact are still in your presence

    General Comment:i love this song!! it's perfect, and i feel it exactly...my boyfriend is this to me-- the first two verses stand out the most!
    i think everyone who commented on this before basically had it...it's about someone who is like you and "becomes" you, but is also complimentary to your being....they are what you need them to be, a fire when you're cold and water when you're too hot, and you're that way for them.
    that person is your universe, so even if there's a huge distance, it doesnt matter, because you're so in sync with them it builds "bridges" and the distance becomes insignificant...

    General Comment:I got KT Tunstalls cd a couple of days ago and it's such a nice album... I would have to agree with ima introvert I like the acoustic version better than the one on the cd :) It sounds so much better and you can really enjoy her voice on that version :D Anayways... Really great song by a great artist!

    General Comment:When I first heard this song I was playing a video game and listening to it on my cd player. I had to put the song on repeat! I was like "What was that song?" and listrened to it all day. I love this song, my second fav on the cd, tied with Other Side of the World. I think this song is about the ultimate love. Knowing someone so well that it's pratically like you are them. It's kind of like when they say you know the instant a loved one is hurt, but all around from when they are happy, to sad, to thinking about you. It's true love. You're both one.

    General Comment:and the part "When you're all on your own, I'll send you a sign, Just so you know..." see for me, and i'm spiritualist, this for me is my guides and spirits and things and they send me signs, and it goes, the whole song that everything is connected in the world and spirit...
