This song is about 2 ppl making mistakes. They stoped talking to each other for all their mistakes. And one person wanting everything to be the same because they miss them and that they need them, and everything makes him think about them. He just wants everything to be the same and even though they made mistakes it could all work out becuase they love each other. Theres only one more chance to make everything right!... this song could be for a friend or someone you love. I love the lyrics.

so, here's the deal,
he still likes her, and is still waiting for her, hence the metaphor 11.11pm.
the name title also plays on the fact that its about to hit 12 , so there's a certain sense of urgency to the situation as well, also showing how problems got procrastinated to such a late point in time(maybe she cheated on him? neevr apologised, or denies it).
this COULD be the last time , not to throw their dreams away,before the next day(aka 12) where they go their separate ways irreconciable.but deep down he hopes things really do work out!

OR

A slightly different scenario, would be he and a girl have feelings for each other, but she has a man in her life, and he thinks that man doesnt treat her that well, yet she puts up with it "did he call you down , are you back just yet?" (this could be just himself though)
shows as if her boyfriend doesnt really bother to call to see how she' doing , her well being
and that instead, she should "waiting now, you should come and set me free" instead.
that she would free him if she chose to be with him. And he keeps insisting that SHE KNOWS that theyre meant for each other "It's a chance to fix mistakes

however , like the title suggest, he's about up to have it with waiting, and wouldnt wait for her much longer, and puts the onus on her to make the choice

at the end of the song they sing the chorus the lyric with slightl changes to"Now we've made our last mistakes"
showing her its alright to make errors, but now its time to listen to her heart and to be with him

anyone bother to think that the title, and the lyrics, might be a play on the phrase "the 11th hour"? referring to the last moments before a deadline, or meant to imply that a decisive or "final" moment is near?

ah! you beat me with the wishes thing! lol. there is a sense of urgency or a deadline too though b/c he's afraid he wont say his wish in time and get a second chance with this girl. he's just waiting and waiting for her to tell him how she feels. his house has become like a prison.

yeah I love the time 11:11...bands use it a lot in their songs...like in Konstantine by something corporate...andrew sings "I always catch the clock, it's 11:11 and now you wanna talk" hmmm just thought I'd make that connection. But definitly think this song is about second chances and the guy wants to get back with is girlfriend.

11:11 is the last point in the day where you can wish on the four digits so it is his last chance to wish and to try for something higher. Its cryptic, it could be when he wrote the song or something in a memory.

I never knew you were supposed to wish. . . though an old friend told me it's "the best time in the world - 'cause it's the only time when all 4 digits are the same. . ."

I like the whole wish thing though. Very innocent. Makes me melancholy thinking back to my childhood :)

i like to make my wishes at 12:34. it really works! i love this song. i think more then anything it's about being with someone that you love, but you know in side that it will be the last time you are gonna be with them, and as much as you love them, through all the mistakes, you can't be with them. so you don't care if it's a mistake to be with them that last time because it's your last chance to make it, and making it again won't change anything. i know exactly how it feels because i love someone who already lives too far away as it is (in my opinion anyways...) and he's coming to visit for a week, and then like a week after he goes back i am moving half way across the country from him, so i had to tell him it was our last chance to make all our old mistakes once again.

well i think.... yeah i agree with the whole mistake things. and he really wants to be with her still. but i think that he's tried everything and hes got nothing left but wishing, hence the 11:11.
