Lyrics for Stab My Back as interpreted by BrandNew1208

Stab My Back Lyrics
Now we're broken
I'm left lost
She just wants me to share her
It hasn't been this way before
She just wants me to dare her

The phone rings
(The phone rings)
And she screams

Stab my back
It's better when I bleed for you
You walk on me
It never was enough to do
I can't get past her, falling fast
It's true
It hasn't done a lot for you

And every time he held you close
Yeah, were you thinking of me?
When I needed you the most
Well, I hope that you're happy

The phone rings
(The phone rings)
And she screams

Stab my back
It's better when I bleed for you
You walk on me
It never was enough to do
I can't get past her, falling fast
It's true
It's better when I bleed for you

I hope that love he gave you
Was just enough to save you
You nearly broke my heart
Just look at what you're tearing apart

Stab my back
It's better when I bleed for you
You walk on me
It never was enough to do
I can't get past her, falling fast
It's true
It hasn't done a lot for you
It's better when I bleed for you
It never was enough to do
It hasn't done a lot for you

Yes first comment, I only liked 2 songs on their previous album, but this album is so amazing and this song no exception.
I think this song is about he fell in love with a girl, and than she backstabbed him and went with another guy.

It's also about how she went off with this other guy, however, she's not happy, and she's admitting she was wrong to make that decision.

The song is all about a girl who thought she was completely unsatisfied with a relationship and left the boy. She had a new love but relized that he wasnt what she wanted. The first boys heart was broken but this song is him spiteing her for what she had done to him. It makes complete sense if you understand the message behind the lyrics.

I think this song means that he had a girlfriend that broke up with him to be with another guy and he's thinking if she's thinking about him.

and she screams,
"Stab my back, it's better when I bleed for you
Walk on me, it never was enough to do"
does this not imply it was her back that was stabbed?im a bit confused!

I think it's about a girl leaving him for somebody eles and the new guy breaks her heart and she realizes that she wants they guy she was with first back now that she feels the pain she rather have him hurt her then somebody she loved because she didn't love him the first guy But she doesn't realize the pain she caused her first guy

okay this is just an idea i have...
she is stuck between 2 guys, and the one is wants to leave is really hurt//sad all that when he finds out she wants to break up with him. and when it says : The phone rings (the phone rings)
and she screams,
"Stab my back, it's better when I bleed for you
Walk on me, it never was enough to do"
i think she is saying something about how she wishes the guy she wants to leave would do something to hurt her so she would know which guy to pick. As in it would just be easier if he would just break up with her(stab her in the back) so she doesnt have to make the decision. "and walk on me it never was enough to do" im not completly sure but im guessing she is saying all the things u did to hurt her, it never was enough to make her want to just dump him for another guy. as in she still kinda likes him enough not to know what to do. yeah and aar rocks

I basically can't get over this song ever since my ex-boyfriend and me got into an arguement, and he said he just wanted me to know that I amde him feel exactly what this song suggests. The best way I can describe this song is to say what happened with me and him: My ex-boyfriend did something to make me very upset, and I guess to spite him, I cheated on him. And when he found out about it, he was obviously upset, which is the guy's part of this song:

I hope that love he gave you
was just enough to save you
You nearly broke my heart
Just look at what you're tearing apart

The girl in the song broke his heart by [cheating] on him or something along those lines, you know? And then, for the girls' behalf: I had reason to cheat. I didn't do it randomly. He did a lot of things to hurt my feelings, too, although nothing can justify cheating in my opinion. And since my ex-boyfriend lives far away, we mostly can only talk on the phone, and we argue a lot, and most of the time, I'm first to lose my temper:

Stab my back,
it's better when I bleed for you
Walk on me,
it never was enough to do

I think that the girl is saying that if she's going to get hurt at all, it would be better if she were hurt by him. That's how I feel about my ex. I mean, obviously, none of us want to get hurt, but there will always be that one person that we would rather hurt us than anyone else. It's like a really effed up sense of comfort, and I think that's what the girl feels.

And ultimately, I think that this song reflects a couple breaking each others hearts from misunderstandings. Now, they're so busy fighting with eachother and being angry at eachother, that neither will be the bigger person and admit to mistakes. =)

That's just one theory. Really

isn't it:
'Now we're broken on the floor,
She just wants me to share her.
It hasn't been this way before,
She just wants me to dare her.'

sorry only minor things i know.. but still.
good song..
catchy.. but there's not much to it.
all the same, a decent listen.
and the lyrics are clever in their own way.

This song is great, but in a way sad and stupid. Why would you cheat on the dude and almost break his heart to be with someone else, then come crawling back to the guy who you abandoned and has probably moved on. You were stupid to leave him in the first place. There's a hidden message in this song. And I think we all know if we pay close attention!

Okay...I absolutely love this song!!! I think the part where he sings,
The phone rings, and She screams,
"Stab my back. It's better when I bleed for you.
Walk on me. It never was enough to do."

I think that part of the song is about how a girl ended up choosing the wrong guy. She can't get over the guy she's with because he was the one to her. When she screams, "stab my back. It's better when I bleed for you" seems like she saying that he was too good for her. The "stab my back" part is almost literal, but not really. I'm sure all of us have gone through a personal experience when you feel like that you chose the wrong person, and you wish you could be with them, but you're just way too hung up on the person that you're with. You know the other person will treat you with what-so-ever you need, but you can't get over the other person...

But what the hell...I could be wrong...

Honestly, I think this song is from the POV of the girl's best friend who's a guy. The guy likes the girl but the girl's with someone else. And now the guy's feeling heartbroken because he thought he might be able to ask her out or something, but now it's too late. And now he's feeling bitter towards her, hence this song to me is the tiniest bit agressive. But this is just my opinion.

Yeeeaaaahhhh, girl broke up with the guy who loved her oh so much for someone else and now she's not as happy as she thought she would be so she wants out and she turns to her ex again. Although, her ex is still not over her yet but he knows he has to cause of what she did to him. He can't help it though, he's falling fast and cant get past her.

well, i'll try to explain what i think this song is about.
by, of course, applying it to a personal situation.
my best friend is juggling two guys... and she loves the attention.
she's almost... addicted to crisis, even if she causes it.
she knows both the guys care about her so much.
and she likes to play with their emotions and crap.
which is annoying, but anyways..
i sent her this song and she got a little pissed,
but that's because she knows it's true. :]:]
but yeah that's who i thought of.
like she just likes the attention and the thrill of cheating?
also a lot of times in order to get out of being the one at fault,
she'll blame one of the guys for "hurting her" somehow.
and it works, because they're both really into her.
and they're pissed, of course, that she's cheating.
but they keep holding on [can't get past her, falling faster]
so that was long and confusing but it's my ideaa of the song.

I think the situation in the song is the girl cheats on her boyfriend, feels badly about it & calls him saying: "stab my back, its better when I bleed for you" meaning, she wants him to do something bad to her, cause its better when shes the one whos suffering & feeling broken hearted.

For some reason I keep thinking this song is about a girl cheating on him and he knows and maybe she knows he does too, but it's left up to him to say something. Either that or the girl just broke up with the ex and went to him and he's wondering is this girl in love with me or him? (or visa versa). That's just me, and it's definitly possible that i'm wrong. o well. AAR is still cool. =]
