When we get home, I know we won't be home at all
This place we live, it is not where we belong
And I miss who we were and the town we could call our own
Going back to get away after everything has changed
Everything has changed

So, we stand here now and no one knows us at all
I won't get used to this, I won't get used to being gone
And going back won't feel the same if we aren't staying
And going back to get away after everything has changed
Everything has changed

It's taking up our time again
Go back, we can't go back at all
It's taking up our time again
Go back, we can't go back at all

It's taking up our time
Cause you remind me of a time when we were so alive
Do you remember that?
Do you remember that?

My Interpretation:so yeah i know that this song is about how paramore got famous and everything feels different and stuff
but for me it's about my life; like paramore talks about how they miss franklin, but for me, the place i miss is happiness.
"Everything has changed" basically to me means that as you grow older things change and you find yourself in different places
"This place we live, it is not where we belong" to me is that we now live in a world of sadness and even though you don't belong here, you can't out of it ("we can't go back at all")
"I won't get used to this, i won't get used to being gone" well this is basically how everyone would feel if they have all of a sudden hit the bottom; they won't be used to being at the bottom and they would miss being wherever they were.
"going back won't feel the same, if we aren't staying going back to get away, after everything has changed" again, it won't feel the same if you think you're getting better but all of a sudden you hit the bottom once again and every now and then you try to go back to happiness to get away from depression but it doesn't work, because you're stuck in depression.

My Interpretation:I think this song is very personal for Paramore. I think it's about how things changed when they became a band, got a record label, how they can't go back to their small-town lives they had.

I really relate this song, because in general, it's about change. Like, a good friend of mine, and her brother (who I had sort of a love-thing with) just moved away from me, and it's really hard, because we still are in touch, but I can't help think about all the good times we had, and how those are gone, "We can't go back, we can't go back at all."
"Cause you remind me of a time, when we were so alive, do you remember that?Do you remember that time?" It's very much how I feel. This song goes deep into me.

Memory:I can definitely relate to this song right now. My best friend moved really far away, and us trying to stay friends when it's so obvious that there is no way that we can be as close as we used to be. And everything has changed. She has new friends that are nothing like her and us.

General Comment:It's like trying to say they miss where they are from, they miss who they were. But they know they can't go back, things will never be the same.

General Comment:To me, this song represents the dilemma that I and many other first-generation college students feel. I love my family and like going home, but I feel out of place now. Like, I don't blindly enjoy the things that I used to at home and joking with my family because I analyze things from a totally different perspective now.

    I really like this song.

General Comment:I definately think that this song is about how after they became famouse, they were happy. But nohting will be the same afterwards. The place that was once their home and privacy won't be so much anymore.
