That night
I never came home
Wandering souls captured
My thoughts
Emptiness
Filled my mind
Urgency
Spoke her lies
In the confines
Of these, grey walls
I watched them
Move together
Taking me places
I cannot, remember (remember)
We have been, poured out
Into this loveless bride

How quickly I forget
That this is meaningless
How quickly I forget
(How quickly I forget)
That this is meaningless
(That this is meaningless)

In a world
Passing through
My fingers
I still chase the wind

How quickly I forget
That this is meaningless
How quickly I forget
(How quickly I forget)
That this is meaningless
(That this is meaningless)

What have I learned from yesterday
What have I learned from yesterday

Song Meaning:Probally a song about writing songs , publishing them , singing and then remembering probally no one ever listens to them .. Like when Justin Bieber came out everyone was crazy over him but he didnt think that his singing meaninglessly because sooner or later hes fame was taken away.. or will be. Its probally about how you do things and then remember its not gonna make a difference to anything.

General Comment:my friend used this song to show me that my relationship with a certain women was pointless, the way she lied and used me (a loveless bride), but i was so caught up in the moment, how quickly id forget, that this is meaningless, and even though i knew all of this. id still chase the wind

General Comment:To understand this song you have to read the book of Ecclesiastes in the bible.

General Comment:This is about how we can try and try and try everyday of our lives but in the end its all meaningless and no matter what we do nothings really going to matter in the end

in the film clip there is a kid spending all day outside drawing on the ground in chalk and just as he is about to finish it starts raining and everything he had done was just washed away in an instance like that

i love AILD and In Flames

"Hey what are you guys called again 'As I Day Rying" lol in flames

General Comment:This song isn't about god or religion... not directly anyway. It's about how we find ourselves being lured into meaningless pursuits that in the end won't be worth our efforts. the "in the confines of these gray walls/ I watched them move together/Taking me places I cannot remember" is Lambesis's description of life on the road. The tour bus takes him so many places he will eventually forget, and those transient pursuits will never amount to anything truly worthwhile in Lambesis's mind. This song is mainly about humankind's tendency to follow emotions rather than what, in the end, will truly be best for ourselves and/or everyone. "we have been poured out into this loveless bridge, how quickly i forget that this is meaningless" is an analogy of how much we exert ourselves over meaningless trials when they aren't worth the effort in the first place.

General Comment:I think this is another religious reference to how what we do to satisfy ourselves is completely meaningless to God and the life we should care about living is with Him. (That's just my take)

is the only part of the song you need to think about... what the song is talking about is, no matter what we do in this life, be it get rich and famous, or poor and live on the street. Have an awesome marriage, or break up and beat yourself for it. it means nothing in the long run

General Comment:in the beginning the kid is drawing with chalk til the rain washes it away. and its how meaningless this life is. its talking about how this world is of nothing. and about the afterlife ect. heaven and hell

General Comment:I love this song. This guys kick ass, and it's equally kick ass to see some metal out there with deeper meanings in their lyrics than getting pissed off about your ex and wanting to well... Kick some ass (Which is, of course, just as good)
