Taylor said this song is about an ex-girlfriend.

y'know, Taylor's got a pretty good "classic rock"-ish type voice.

this sounds a lot like an Eagles song from back in the day. I'm glad they brought Taylor to the front for a song, that's pretty cool. a whole new element brought to the front that makes for a sweet little song.

i think the meaning's pretty straight forward, about breaking up and blamin each other (him, in this case)
anyway it is a really feelgood song despite the lyrics and i agree with Childe, he does have a pretty roughish rocker type voice.

i was thinkin that exact thing-it does sound like an eagles song. its a change of pace even for an all accoustic disc.

It's awesome to hear Taylor singing for once (although Dave Grohl's a legend and noone is better than him.) I never knew Taylor had such a good voice. I agree, In Your Honor is definitely the best album of the year - but it can never compare to the earlier foos albums like the colour and the shape - that one's the best.

Yeah this is definatly my favorite song on IYH Acoustic... I just felt that most of the acoustic cd was really bland and not very inspired, this definatly stood out

The cold day in the sun is a reference to the break up someone here mentioned... The fact that she's in the sun is her being in the spot light, probably for ending the relationship, it's cold because the relationship has turned to ice and is unaffectionate.

Great song. Great departure. It sound like it is about being strong in fighting for what you believe in, no matter the odds.
