Something that I felt today, something that I had
Swingin' from the chandoleres, hanging on your word
I remember watchin' you once upon a time
Dancing from across the room in another life

A little bit of resolve is what I need now
Pin me down, show me how
A little bit of resolve is what I need now
Pin me down, show me how

Lookin' back to find my way, never sing so hard
Yesterday's belated rest, changing of the gods
I would never change a thing even if I could
All the songs we used to sing, everything was gone

A little bit of resolve is what I need now
Pin me down, show me how
A little bit of resolve is what I need now
Pin me down, show me how

One more Louvre that you're not here
It's gone and passed you by
Happened to you, happened to you
One more tear that you won't hear
That's gone and passed you by
Happened to you, happened to you

A little bit of resolve is what I need now
Pin me down, show me how
A little bit of resolve is what I need now
Pin me down, show me how

A little bit of resolve
One more Louvre that you're not here
It's gone and passed you by (A little bit of resolve)
A little bit of resolve
One more Louvre that you're not here
It's gone and passed you by (A little bit of resolve)

General Comment:It's about Kurt. There is nothing wrong with that. It was a traumatic situation in his life but I'm sure he can connect it to other things as well. People don't have to be so defensive about it. Nirvana is NOT Courtney Love and I think people make the association because she continues to make it her story. Kurt and Dave were like brothers.

General Comment:I'm shocked that no one has brought up his break-up with Louise Post. It's pretty clear when you listen to their respective material that the song is about her. Her/Veruca Salt's first album post-relationship was called "Resolver", and a lot of the songs on it are about Dave Grohl.

General Comment:Re: Dave doesnt sit around moping about Kurt wondering how he died" or whatever- the manic street preachers lyrics still seem to centre on Richey disappearing. Feeder don't seem to have moved on from Jon Lee's suicide either.

General Comment:hang on---is it "something that i've heard" or something that i've had"
    guess i always thought had...could b wrong, it's just what i hear....
this is seriously my favourite off IYH, def. one of my favourites by the foo fighters, and may b even my favouri5e song. depends on the mood.

ps- y does it matter if foo fighters or nirvana are better? Most of the time they've got totally different styles. they're both awesome. i mean, come on. YOU try comparing "there's nothing left to lose" or IYH to "nevermind" or "nirvana". good luck.

General Comment:ok people. first of all, i love kurt and nirvana just as much as the rest of you, and while i do think some foo songs relate back to kurt, i don't think this is one of them."Swinging from the chandeliers"- yah i guess this could be pointed back to kurt, but the line -
"I remember watching you once upon a time
Dancing from across the room"- would be pretty wierd if he was talking about kurt. i mean how many straight men would talk about watching someone dance if they were talking about a guy... idk just my opinion

General Comment:i think dave thought about kurt while writing this song, but for me it sounds more like closure over something important.

General Comment:Though many of you have mentioned the Come As You Are video, I've seen no one picking up on the introduction riff, repeated many times during the song. If you listen to the famous Come As You Are riff, theres a part, if you're a bass player, played on the A and E string as a D#-E-D#-E. These two sound the same to me.
