You can't escape the wrath of my heart
Beating to your funeral song (You're so alone)
All faith is lost for hell regained
And love dust in the hands of shame (Just be brave)

Let me bleed you this song of my heart deformed
And lead you along this path in the dark
Where I belong 'till I feel your warmth

Hold me
Like you held on to life
When all fears came alive and entombed me
Love me
Like you love the sun
Scorching the blood in my vampire heart

I'll be the thorns on every rose
You've been sent by hope (You'll grow cold)
I am the nightmare waking you up
From the dream of a dream of love (Just like before)

Let me weep you this poem as Heaven's gates close
Paint you my soul, scarred and alone
Waiting for your kiss to take me back home

Hold me
Like you held on to life
When all fears came alive and entombed me
Love me
Like you love the sun
Scorching the blood in my vampire heart

Hold me
Like you held on to life
When all fears came alive and entombed me
Love me
Like you love the sun
Scorching the blood in my vampire heart

Hold me (Like you held on to life)
Like you held on to life
(When all fears came alive and entombed me)
My vampire heart

Love me (Like you love the sun)
Like you love the sun
(Scorching the blood in my)
My vampire heart

    "Dream of a dream"

Perhaps a reference/borrowing from the book (The Chronicles Of Narnia) The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe written by the great C.S. Lewis.

These are the correct lyrics, my Dark Light CD came on the 22 of September for some reason, and this is what it says in the booklet...

    Vampire Heart: HIM

You can't escape the wrath of my heart, beating to your funeral song(just sing it), All faith is lost for Hell regain. In the dust in the hands of shame(just be brave),

Let me bleed you this song of my heart deformed, bleed you along this path in the dark, where I belong till I feel your warmth

Hold me like you held onto life, when all fears come alive and entombed me. Love me like you loved the sun, scorching the blood in my Vampire Heart.

I'll be the thorns in every rose, you've been sent by hope. I am the nightmare waking you up, from the dream of a dream of love(just let me go).

Let me weep you this poem as heavens gates close. Paint you my soul scarred and alone, waiting for your kiss to take me back home.

Hold me like you held onto life, when all fears come alive and entombed me. Love me like you loved the sun, scorching the blood in my Vampire Heart.

Hold me like you held onto life, when all fears come alive and entombed me. Love me like you loved the sun, scorching the blood in my Vampire Heart.

Hold me (like you held onto life) like you held onto life (when all fears came alive and entombed me) My Vampire Heart

(Love me) Love Me (like you loved the sun) like you loved the sun (scorching the blood in my) My Vampire Heart

I was told valo is really into the whole romeo and juliet story, and that would make sense...b/c it is a very dark and lovely shakespear poem that deals with death...something valo really seems to have on his mind. so in light of that knowledge i feel as if this song (and some of thier others) is about the dark story of love. the lyrics "let me bleed you this song of my heart deformed, lead you along this path in the dark, where i belong till i feel your warmth." reminds me of what juliet's position to romeo was, where she would have taken the poison and fallen asleep till romeo came and woke her to start thier new life together in bliss. Also the lyrics, "I am the nightmare waking you up, from the dream of a dream of love." would'nt you think romeo being dead when juliet awoke would be a "nightmare" for her as she THOUGHT she was awaking from her dreams...to THIER dream of having a life of love together...and instead finding a lifeless romeo laying there?! if you read the lyrics you can see a poetic view from valo of his understanding and reinactment of the most popular love story in history!! my favorite him song!! any thoughts on my opinion???

Even the lyrics and title draw you to this song, they're beautiful :) The keyboard at the start kind of reminds you of Buried Alive By Love, or The Sacrament. Cannot wait for Dark Light on the 26th :D

I totally love him, and vampires so what better song for Ville to make. To me the meaning seems to deal with how no matter who or what you are you can still love and lust after something, clearly it is set in the POV of a vampire talking to the person he loves/lusts after and as such he turned them into a vampire to be with him, and now he wants them to love him like they loved being alive....Well that's what I think

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
