this is my personal favorite on the cd....its a song about a new love, and how the memories of the past are erased by a new love, and how the lonliness is evaded by a new love. and it goes even deeper to say how true love passes through life into death. most HIM love songs deal with this aspect of love, and the depth of it....IE: "Join me"

Wow. I'm surprised there's only a few comments. This is by far one of the best HIM songs. Lyrics, tune, vocals, it's all great. I love it.

Oh, and the meaning's what surfryder said.

according to valo, pbr is the best thing to kill loneliness with.. lol. this song has kinda grown on me. it was okay but i really like the vocals on the track. and of course the lyrics, love kills itself by burning out a new one quenches the pain... almost makes me think it could end up in a cruel circle of love and loss and love again. but i'm a pessimist

killing loneliness is about finding a new love after your heart has ben broken an your heart has been made a 'tomb' from the loneliness after the relationship had ended. finding this new love erases all memorys of the past relationship and all the pain it brought with it

Love love love this song!!! One of my favorites off of the Dark Light album.

Anyway, This song means that when a person is with the one they love, together they are killing loneliness. Together, they are no longer lonely, loneliness doesnt exist.
