This is one of my favorite songs. https://fnfgo.io
So you think you know what's going on inside her head
You think she wants your money but it's you she wants instead
When you think about the things that she did long ago
It breaks your heart, but deep down boy, you don't want her to go
You really look so shattering
You feel you want to die
Just because of the one mistake of telling you a lie
If I were you I'd try again
And try to make amends
She only thinks of you, you know I'm talking as a friend
You think she wants your money but it's you she wants instead
When you think about the things that she did long ago
It breaks your heart, but deep down boy, you don't want her to go
You really look so shattering
You feel you want to die
Just because of the one mistake of telling you a lie
If I were you I'd try again
And try to make amends
She only thinks of you, you know I'm talking as a friend

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,
Magical
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
Blue

Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
American Town

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
Pretty straightforward, about a relationship breaking up because the guy thought the girl was just after his money, but it was true love and it breaks his heart.
Yeah, the meaning is pretty straightforward, but I can't figure out how the title relates at all.
St. Vitus' Dance is a nuerological disorder characterized by jerky, uncontrollable muscle spasms of the arms and/or legs that seem to flow along the limbs and cause it to look almost like one is dancing in place. If anyone can explain the relation between the title and the meaning of the song or the lyrics, I would be grateful.
His heart is diseased (depressed for dumping his true love) and/or he is spazzing out (feeling anxiety) for realizing that he made a mistake by dumping his true love for the wrong reasons (e.g., thinking she was after his money).
@Achory What's interesting to me is that I can think of no relation between the title and the lyrics. But the fast, syncopated rhythm of the music makes me envision a person suffering from St. Vitus' Dance moving to that rhythm.
This song is really underrated, nobody ever mentions it, but it's the best song from Vol. 4 in my opinion.
This doesn't sound like Sabbath, but almost my favorite song from "Vol. 4".
I think that, "St. Vitus' Dance" is almost the best song from the whole album of "Vol. 4" in my opinion.
Sounds like they were trying to make a second Paranoid to me
Vol. 4 album was great with this song, "St. Vitus' Dance."

As for the title, I think it's something like NIB where they just slapped a random name on it. That's the only explanation I can think of.
It's no secret that Ozzy was a huge Beatles fan. Lyrically, he's attempting to recreate and expand on the themes set in the 1963 Lennon/McCartney hit "She Loves You".
@Loungepunk 3 years late, but whatevs. FYI Ozzy didn't write sabbath lyrics, I believe he only wrote "am i going insane" and "the writ". Geezer wrote all the lyrics.
