I don't get you
I can't forget what you've forgotten
All along
I've never been so alone

Don't cry out
Cease fire

I was pretending
Your secret kiss of confidence
Was my escape
The perfect game to play

Don't cry out
Cease fire

Ten nine eight and I'm breaking away
I'm all dressed up and ready to play
Seven six five four and I'm all over you
Counting three two one and I'm having fun

Your fascination
With naked walls of silk and skin with no conditions
I needed you to notice
That's all I wanted

Don't cry out
Cease fire

Ten nine eight and I'm breaking away
I'm all dressed up and ready to play
Seven six five four and I'm all over you
Counting three two one and I'm having fun

Ten nine eight and I'm breaking away
I'm all dressed up and ready to play
Seven six five four and I'm all over you
Counting three two one and I'm having fun

Don't cry out
Cease fire

Ten nine eight and I'm breaking away
I'm all dressed up and ready to play
Seven six five four and I'm all over you
Counting three two one and I'm having fun

My Interpretation:I absolutely love this song. I personally think that this song is about someone being...sex friends with someone else and thinking and hoping that by doing this, this person will see their true feelings.

    I was pretending
    your secret kiss of confidence
    was my escape
    the perfect game to play..

    and

    Your facination
with naked walls of silk and skin
    with no conditions

No conditions...Like this person she liked just wanted to use her when she was trying to get him to notice she was just doing it to get him to like or love her. Or she wanted him to notice she still had feelings for him. "I needed you to notice, that's all I wanted". I definitely also see this as a break up song, possibly they broke up and then decided to stay "intimate".

    I don't get you
    I can't forget what you've forgotten
    all along
    I've never been so alone

She can't forget that she used to be in love with him because she still is, but he's forgotten all the "good times" because he either never cared for her in the first place or he just wanted to move on.

General Comment:This song is my situation exactly.
In my opinion its about a girl who wants nothing more than a friends with benefits, but feels conflicted about it, like in my situation, things are great, i don't want a relationship at all, but also i sometimes have to remind myself 'DON'T GET ATTACHED, all you want him for is s_x, he is not cute nor sweet'

General Comment:yeah, repeating and stating the obvious. she fell in love with her hookup. but she is hiding behind a carefree attitude so she can still be around him. but all she really wants is for him to know how she feels, even if he doesn't requite. "don't cry out, cease fire." she can't come out and say she loves him because that will change everything. she has to ignore her love for him because she knows in the end she's only going to get hurt.

    General Comment:Nice song (:

It's like someone's breaking up, after a long time pretending he/she still loved that person.
No he or she's like: don't cry, I'm over it too, right?

Sounds almost arrogant to me xD

General Comment:I can't hear this song without crying. The sounds are so emotional, you can tell the words were chosen for their effect. And those lines: I needed you to notice... that's all I wanted! It's so packed with longing and pain, you can feel it from where you sit.

My Interpretation:this song exemplifies my pseudo ex's and i's relationship.
we were eachother fall back people, but it didn't start out like that.

he broke my heart, left me on the side of the road staring as he moved on,
    and that's the beginning:
    "i don't get you,
    i can't forget what you've forgotten"

the second time around, we kept our "relationship" a secret.
because my parents didn't approve of him, but honestly.
it was because he wanted to fuck around and not feel guilty.
    "your secret kiss of confidence
    was my escape
    the perfect game to play"

by the third time, we knew we weren't anything serious or never would be.
just something to pass the time and make ourselves feel less lonely.
"ten nine eight and i'm breaking away
i'm all dressed up and i'm ready to play
seven six five four and i'm all over you
counting three two one and i'm having fun."

and lastly, when we "broke up" that third time because he couldn't even handle that small amount of commitment, he needed to mess around on me.
    "your facination
with naked walls of silk and skin
    with no conditions"

General Comment:This song is great. I think she was experiencing feelings of what she thought was true love while he wasn't. She don't seem to understand how he can act as if it don't mean a thing to him(maybe it don't) or how the hell could it not for that matter because, in her mind it couldn't be more perfect. So, she finally decides that she can't pretend anymore and is tired of waiting for him to realize what he has. With that, she breaks away, is over him, and has her fun 'til she finds what she is looking for. Unless she got the only thing she wanted first...for him to notice what he is doing to her. Seeing as how he don't seem to get that, she figures it ain't fair to her so, she leaves. Very sexy song with a great sound to it. I haven't heard much else by them but, the other songs I did hear...SUCK!

My Interpretation:This is just my interpretation, but here it is:

I think it's about a chick entering a relationship she knows will end badly or hurt her; she's doing it to rebel and escape her life and the people who don't appreciate her. And the guy doesn't really like her or is only in it for sex, but she doesn't care. Or maybe she's really in love with him and he doesn't love her back.

But she's okay with it. It's all for fun. Right?
