I'm at the end of my report again
For those who won't do apathy
You had the perfect opportunity
But pled the fifth and walked away

Say something
Make us proud
Cast the first stone
Say anything at all

Make a move
For every one thing we're ignorant of
A thousand more things beat the maze
You saw the apple hanging on the tree
But missed the orchard in your gaze

Say something
Make us proud
Cast the first stone
Say anything at all

Make a move
(hands on the eyes are the engines of demise)
Make a move

I'm cautious of who I would call a friend
Who you aquaint is who you are
The darkest hours are when we choose a side
So make your pick and take a fall

Say something
Say anything at all
Make a move
(hands on the eyes are the engines of demise)
Make a move

    General Comment:I like the song,

    The first line is
"I'm at the end of my ribbon again"

that is a common reference to being at wits end, the end of your rope if you will, its to someone like a lot of songs are, telling them that they should have said something when they had the opprotunity, but they didn't.

To me, "you saw the apple laying on the tree, but missed the orchard in your gaze" sure, apple+tree=(insert something biblical here) not so much, really. maybe something more like "you saw what was right in front of you" (the person's own personal gain) "but missed the big picture"

then it goes into what i think is very self explanitory, saying choose your friends wisely because they will define you. when it come down to the wire our true selves are revealed.

"make your pick and take the fall" is saying "you have to choose"

"make a move" is an order or a challenge, to be more than what you have been

General Comment:Great song, but doesn't the opening riff sound a little bit like The Doors' "L.A. Woman"? Otherwise, great song from a pretty crappy movie!

    General Comment:i don't think Brandon is referencing Christ . . .
they wrote a song and made it straight forward for once. maybe he was that frustrated when he wrote it.
it reminds me of my boyfriend.

christian overtones? oh, not musical overtones.
i like what radiokorn says, but i really don't think incubus would do something like that.

General Comment:"I'm at the end of my REBORN again" I'm pretty sure that's the first line.

From my interpretation of the lyrics, I think the song is about doing what you know is right in sight of a problem ("...cast the first stone"), instead of cowering up by pretending it isn't there ("...plead the fifth [as in the Fifth Amendment] and walked away"). The message in here is similar to "Make Yourself" as well. You can't know what is right without knowing yourself and allowing the world to make up who you are. ("I'm cautious of who I would call a friend, Who you acquaint is who you are"). And needless to say, there are things some would call "Christian" overtones in the song.("...cast the first stone"/" ...apple hanging on the tree" / "...reborn again").

In short, I believe that Brandon is taking on a Christ-like persona for everyone with a little "hero" inside of them ("For those who won't do apathy"), and is telling everyone to wake up and stop sitting on their asses by lying to themselve and pretending nothing is wrong with the world.

    "Know [make] thyself." - Christ

General Comment:I'm not sure if the posted lyrics are correct. Here are the lyrics posted on incubusonline.com:

Make a Move - from the Stealth soundtrack

I'm at the end of my ribbon again
For those who own to apathy
    You had the perfect opportunity
But bled the fifth and walked away

    Say something
    Make us proud
    Cast the first stone
    Say anything at all
    (Anything is everything, and more)

    Make a move

For every one thing we're ignorant of
A thousand more things beat the maze
You saw the apple hanging on the tree
But missed the orchard in your gaze

    Say something
    Make us proud
    Cast the first stone
    Say anything at all
    (Anything is everything, and more)

    Make a move
(Hands on the eyes are the engines of demise)
    Make a move

I'm cautious of who I would call a friend
Who you aquaint is who you are
The darkest hours are when we choose a side
So make your pick and take a fall

    Say something
    Say anything at all
    Make a move

General Comment:Maybe I am way off, since no one else seems to think this way, but I think the song is directed at one person in particular. It seems to me like there is a stalemate going on, and one of the people involved is completely missing the obvious.
