Until you crash
Until you burn
Until you lie
Until you learn
Until you see
Until you believe
Until you fight
Until you fall
Until the end of everything and all
Until you die
Until you're alive

Don't save me, don't save me, 'cause I don't care
Don't save me, don't save me, 'cause
I don't care

Until you give
Until you've used
Until you've lost
Until you lose
Until you see, how come you believe?
Until you've lived a thousand times
Until you've seen the other side
This is my chance, this is my chance

Don't save me, don't save me, 'cause I don't care
Don't save me, don't save me, 'cause
I don't care

Until the truth becomes a lie
Until you change, until you deny
Until you believe

This is my chance, this is my chance
I'll take it now because I can
This is my chance, I want it now

Don't save me, don't save me, 'cause I don't care
Don't save me, don't save me, 'cause
I don't care

Save me, save me, save me
Save me, save me, save me
I don't care

General Comment:I can see it being about religion. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this (You probably have.) but in the middle of the chorus after he says "Cuz I don't care." I can hear something along the lines of "Keep it to yourself" Which if this song was about religion I guess that line would make sense.

General Comment:I think this song really is opened to interpretation. My interpretation ( I do understand the religious and depressed suggestions) is that it is all about being lost as a person. Not knowing who you really are and what you are meant to do with your life.

It's all about experiencing life - and until that is being done you won't feel as if you belong and fulfilled (This is my chance, this my my chance I'll take it now because I can).

"Don't save me", is not a cry for help but a stance against doing it on your own - whatever happens, happens.

"save me" is the realisation that life won't make sense alone. How can you believe, how can you have faith, how can you really feel like you've lived until you've reached out to those around you?

My Interpretation:After listening to almost every one of their songs, I'm beginning to think that Jared Leto is Agnostic, not a Christian, and not an Atheist, but Agnostic. I think that's what this song is about. I think he's saying that you can't know if God exists until you die, so he's not going to worry about it, because there's no way of knowing if he's right or not.

General Comment:The song is about religion.

He doesn't want to be saved, he wants to live his life now.

He sings the chorus way stronger than he would if he was contemplating suicide.

General Comment:IMO when Jared sings "don't save me", he wants to seem stronger than he is actually, Like don't save me, I'm strong, I'll do it on my own. But than "save me", he understands his weakness.

    Just my morbid imagination :))

General Comment:I wasn't there but I saw the video for it.
Whenever 30STM preformed Savior @ Pinkpop i believe it opened with "you people have done everything in the world to me doesn't that give me equal right ?"
Which is a Charles Manson quote, right ?
What if the song is about a guy who has pretty much gotten screwed over by the world and is to the point of just not caring anymore?
What of hes lived his life and has gotten nothing out of it?
What if hes tired of the state the world or his world is in ?

plus i have a lyric question.
    i cant remeber
where i got these from but it makes since to me too.

"Until you’ve lived a thousand times
UNTIL YOU"VE SEEN IN YOUR LOVERS EYES
This is my chance, this is my chance!"

I'm kinda disappointed if thats not the line, it was a personal fav. :(

oh, and does anybody else who has the CD version have an intro to it?
mine is Shannon Jared and Tomo saying :

    you always do that too
i know i dont know why
you have a conviction and i appreciate that
sometimes conviction can lead to stubborness

what is that ^ about ?

General Comment:I think the way he says "save me" 6 times at the end and then he says i don't care almost echoes how someone acts when they actually are in desperate need of help. For example, someone who's incredibly depressed sends out signals that are screaming help me but as soon as someone offers they decline and say that they're fine.
The words he uses are almost like that of drug related problems so perhaps it's meant to be a person's mind who blatently needs help and, at the end of the day, knows that but still refuses to accept that fact. and the previous verses and chorus's are saying, like other people have said, that until people actually know what he's going/gone through don't bother trying to help as it won't help and he won't appreciate it as they have no idea what to do.
    sorry if that's garbled....
