She said to me, "Go steady on me.
Won't you tell me what the Wise Men said?
When they came down from Heaven,
Smoked nine 'til seven,
All the shit that they could find,
But they couldn't escape from you,
Couldn't be free of you,
And now they know there's no way out,
And they're really sorry now for what they've done,
They were three Wise Men just trying to have some fun."
Look who's alone now,
It's not me, it's not me.
Those three Wise Men, they've got a semi by the sea.
Got to ask yourself the question,
Where are you now?
Got to ask yourself the question,
Where are you now?
Really sorry now, they weren't to know.
They got caught up in your talent show,
With you pernickety little bastards in your fancy dress,
Who just judge each other and try to impress,
But they couldn't escape from you,
Couldn't be free of you,
And now they know there's no way out,
And they're really sorry now for what they've done,
They were three Wise Men just trying to have some fun.
Look who's alone now,
It's not me, it's not me.

They've got a semi by the sea.

1verse
1. 'she' asks for help and willing to accept faith
2. disrespect to those who's propaganding the true faith in false ways.
3. she accepts faith in a way choosing these and ignoring that, getting so much in a wrong stuff.
4. They are sorry for what they've done. Their words are so much misinterpreted today by Church, so he gets no true faith and just a fake sorry excuses.
chorus
who'se alone? Leaders of Church made money on you buying semis and wearing golden crosses on their necks.
2nd verse is a complete aprroval to a religion version. Jesus becomes like a TV star nowadays and it seems people accept him to get a way to judge people and impress others. James's ironizing on these situation where the words of God are so much misinterpreted these day, people accepting them look more funny than wise.

I hate it when people think Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all connected, as the Old testament is based on the Sumerian stories where they thought of god as an alien/mythical Greek type god who wanted to control his creation, so they only look outward. Jesus later tried to teach real spirituality to teach people they're divine beings and part of the real meaning of god, such as when he told a man his belief in being healed, healed him. That's why Jewish leaders say Jesus isn't their religion, but Hindu gurus and Buddhism say Jesus taught the same.

She said to me, "Go steady on me.
Won't you tell me what the Wise Men said?
When they came down from Heaven,
Smoked nine 'til seven,
All the **** that they could find,
But they couldn't escape from you,
Couldn't be free of you,
And now they know there's no way out,
And they're really sorry now for what they've done,
They were three Wise Men just trying to have some fun."
***In those lines, when he says they came down from Heaven he is referring to the 3 wise men. They had been put on earth and took advantage of things they shouldn't have. Smoking, as one of them. In the line "But they couldn't escape from you, couldn't be free of you" he is referring to how the wise men couldn't escape God's love and presence. "And now they know there's no way out, and they're really sorry now for what they've done, just 3 wise men having some fun" Referring to when God gets a hold of you, there is no way out you are his child of God now and he loves you forever, and the wise men realized this and they are so sorry for all the stuff they had done, (smoking 9 to 7, and trying to have some fun)***
Look who's alone now,
It's not me. It's not me.
Those three Wise Men,
They've got a semi by the sea.
Got to ask yourself the question,
Where are you now?
***The lines Look who's alone now, it's not me" I think that refers to how he isn't going to make the mistake of the 3 wise men. He isn't alone and sinful because he has God. I'm not sure what he means by "semi by the sea" but "Where are you now" is probably referring to where are YOU now as in YOU yourself. Are you where you want to be in life? Where are you going?***
Really sorry now,
They weren't to know.
***These lines refer to how he's sorry to know that the 3 wise men, also representing society today is too caught up in the false misleadings. Money, cars, sex, drugs, partying, all the entertainment to keep the human mind entertained. Materialistic things. That's why society thrives upon, and without it society withers. But within all that, there is so much more greater and that's God and they can't escape from you, can't be free of you because no matter who you are or what you are you are a child of God and in the end, you will at one point be sorry for what you've done because everyone has their sins and regrets.***
Hope my interpretation was fair game to others - that's just my look upon it!
you rape the beauty of music with your subjective mentality and freudian projection.
