Forced, we forced feeding you lines, feeding you.
Look how high I'm jumping from, you'll never make it.

I know what it feels like
giving into something you don't understand

Forced, we forced feeding you lines, feeding you.
Look how high I'm jumping from, you'll never make it.

Walk into the light,
giving into something you don't understand.
This sort of thing gets you out of mind right before...
This sort of thing gets you out of mind right before impact.

Calcium waste, glitter and falling like icicles.
Calcium waste, glitter and falling like icicles.
Guess who's next?
You're just as guilty as them.

Forced, we forced feeding you lines, feeding you.
Look how high I'm jumping from, you'll never make it.
This sort of thing gets you out of mind right before...
This sort of thing gets you out of mind right before impact.

General Comment:the lyrics hint torwards possibily cocaine or something, but he has told people it is about a girl trapped in a burning building. this girl has to make a decison between staying where she is and praying for help, or jumping out the window.. could that possibily be the concept behind the juturna album art? like that girl falling on the front, she even looks like she is falling after stepping off a window ledge or something. when you open the album booklet open, its a trippy forest, and there is a trail that leads to bright glowing door ("walk into the light") the door could represent the spot where the girl jumped from, or it could represent her seeing the light at the end of the tunnel while she is coming down from a drug or a bad trip. when i first read the lyrics, i was almost positive it was about getting somebody to do cocaine for they're first time and then coming off of it not long after cuz it was cut so bad (calcium waste)anthony is an insane poet and will write the lyrics to a song for the sole purpose of being able to have multiple meanings to that song.

also: the girl doesnt want to jump, shes too high, its gonna suck, but the building is burning, she has to, or she will die.. this is how people feel when they are doing coke.. they hate coming down from it, all they can do is more of it, but at some point, you have to come down. you cannot just keep doing it, you will die.

General Comment:According to wikipedia, this song is also a short story by Edward Gorey. I've never read it before, but maybe it has some sort of relevance to this song's meaning? Just throwing some stuff out there...

General Comment:I'm gonna go deep into this song and try to support how it is related to 9/11 because I saw many people say that and I most likely can say I do agree with that.

Forced, we forced feeding you lines, feeding you. - this has to do with maybe the news and the media telling terrorists what to say, or even just the anchors of the news stations what to say about it.

Look how high I'm jumping from, you'll never make it.- Look how high [I'M] Jumping from, [YOU]'ll never make it. this is a very interesting line, I don't know I could say anything about it right now though.

I know what it feels like
giving into something you don't understand- giving into the new policies of the government because of something that they let happen. They are now containing people who ever make any kind of threat, even if it is minimal or just as a joke. (Someone got 90 days in prison for saying they'd assassanate obama even though it was a joke recently. )

Walk into the light, Almost like a request to someone who has done something wrong, or is accused.
giving into something you don't understand. again with the government or any kind of weird thing going on
This sort of thing gets you out of mind right before...
This sort of thing gets you out of mind right before impact. Definitely has to do with jumping from our levels of trust and security and completely guarding ourselves in.

Ok, I have to conclude that I don't know what it's about, but the title has to do with a height, and the jump and the fact that it's either cold up there, or someone is completely stressed out or something. OHHHH The glorious revolution, the glorious nosebleed. it has to do with a revolution, which the government probably set out to do against the people. ok idk, you decide on what you think it means, this is what I think for now.

General Comment:It's weird how you people always think that every single song is about either drugs or a relationship gone wrong. Not every single song in this world is about those two things. I think you WANT to believe that, because it's the easiest way, but also the most BORING. Instead of thinking what the songs you are listening to can mean to YOU, you just go for the easiest alternative. Oh Well. I really thought songmeanings.net was about sharing your definition of songs with other people, but I guess I was wrong.

General Comment:it is definatley about coke...We all were assure that anthony has/had addictions after stone hearted man.

    Why it is about coke:
the title is "the glorious nosebleed"

    the "force feeding lines" part

    the line "calcium waste" obvious

the line "this sort of thing gets you out of mind" refers to how much easier it is to attempt suicide. This whole song is about coke and suicide...Being scared to go through with the suicide but being able to forget about it with coke.

General Comment:I can see the drug reference. I love how he writes. No matter what he writes about, you can always get your own meaning from the song. You can make most songs relate to at least one thing youre going through or experiencing. Like this song makes me think about religion. How people feed their kids verses of scripture, trying to get them to walk the straight and narrow line to heaven. The "look how high I'm jumping from, you'll never make it" reminds me falling out of faith. Standing firmly beside not believing. The "you'll never make it" reminds me of someone understanding your points and explanations on how there is no God, but the fear of burning forever keeps them from jumping in to the beliefs all the way.
The "walk into the light" is her or him abandoning his side and siding with the beliefs of a God.
Maybe he sees someone that believs as ignorant, making it easier for him to forget get right before impact, or death. When death comes they'll know the truth, that there is no God.
The "calcium waste" is our bodies returning to nature, no sould just our natural structures returning to earth only to become something else.

To me I guess the truth of the matter is no one understands religion, that's why faith exsists.

I dunno, I'm fucked up right now.

General Comment:First of all all you fucks, I would like to begin with my wrath at the misinterpretation of this song. this song is going to have deeper meaning than someone 'jumping out of a window and bleeding from their nose.'

First of all. The first stanza. FORCED, which is peer pressure. - Feeding you lines. LINES OF COKE.

"Look how high I'm jumping from" - Cocaine forces your brain to emit excessive amounts of dopamine which causes you to feel extremely energetic. Which is why someone would want to jump from a high building or do something drastic. "You'll never make it" - is the reality of it all.

"I Know what it feels like... Giving into something you don't understand." - An experienced user telling of their personal psychology of the drug, and what kind of confusion it can cause, when you don't understand why you are becoming addicted.

"Walk into the light..." - is a relapse. associating
light with PLEASURE, and it feels good to "get out of mind... before impact [actual impact with the drug]."

"Calcium waste, glitter and falling like icicles" - something so beautiful and pure, coke is also referred to as 'snow'. also, calcium is white.

"guess who's next, you're just as guilty as them.." -
refers to the NEXT person who will get caught in the same trap. and for a person who would be so stereotypical as to judge a drug addict when they don't know what the person has gone through mentally. "GUILTY" is the after effects of doing something 'wrong' and putting shame on someone for making these mistakes.

this song is not about a girl falling off a building regardless of what anyone says, and regardless of what anthony green says, why would he confess to the world of his troubles when he can do it in a poem, where it leaves people to interpretation? Of course, this song is going to have layers and layers and layers of symbolism. The man is not your best friend, and just because you meet him and ask what this song means does not mean he's going to tell you. he could tell you the minimum and the general jist.

THAT. is what this song means.
