Everybody is tired
And poor and sick of trying
If you see me
On the corner
Will you stop or will you splash me
Take a look at
What we've become
Nothing more than silhouettes of
A pretty family
On a post card
Picture perfect, I don't want it

So I hold my breath 'til my heart explodes
Cause this is how it is and this is how it goes
You can steal my body but you can't steal my soul
Cause this is how it is and this is how it goes

Shitty weather, bad timing
Lucky penny glued to the ground
Dirty look from total stranger
Hope you get lost and you're not found
Take a look at what we've become
Nothing more than silhouettes of
A pretty family on a postcard
Picture perfect, I don't want it

So I hold my breath 'til my heart explodes
Cause this is how it is and this is how it goes
You can steal my body but you can't steal my soul
Cause this is how it is and this is how it goes

This is, how it, it goes
This is, how it, it goes
This is, how it, it goes
This is, how it, it goes

So unscrew my head
And rinse it out
Polish my thoughts
Turn into doubts
Unscrew my head
And rinse it out
Polish my thoughts
Turn into doubts
Turn 'em into, turn 'em into doubts

So I hold my breath 'til my heart explodes
Cause this is how it is and this is how it goes
You can steal my body but you can't steal my soul
Cause this is how it is and this is how it goes

General Comment:Yeah, I like this version of the song much better too. It sounds less... retouched. I first heard about Aaron's battle with MS in an article I read back in 2005. This is what this song is about, as well as how other people deal with their illnesses. He's their inspiration for a lot of the songs they write.

Yet another amazing song by my favourite band of all time.

General Comment:this song's about Aaron's MS. fucking awesome song too. the novelty's well and truly worn off about a year ago for me regarding billy talent but this song still does a pretty fair job IMO

General Comment:both versions fucking rule. this song reminds of the harshness of having a physical or even mental disability in a world that demands perfection. love it a lot.

General Comment:I love this version, it has more of a jazzy intro. It's amazing.

Plus Benjamin's vocals are so much better in this song than the proper version.
